Sludge is an apt description - this is totally unnecessary on a "progressive" station such as this. I hate it!! There are innumerable outlets nationwide for stuff like this. Some of us tune in here to avoid this type of drek.

yeah but sugarcane burning is dirty. I grew up on Kauai, Hawaii in an area surrounded by sugarcane fields. When the fields were burned "black snow" would flutter to the ground for miles around. Try to brush it off and it would disentegrate on your cloths. Pretty cool stuff for a kid. The mills were the biggest employer on the island. Its pretty much all gone now. Bittersweet. This song describes it perfectly.
