Wait in line
Till your time
Ticking clock
Everyone stop

Everyone's saying different things to me
Different things to me
Everyone's saying different things to me
Different things to me

Do you believe
In what you see
There doesn't seem to be anybody else who agrees with me

Do you believe
In what you see
Motionless wheel
Nothing is real
Wasting my time
In the waiting line
Do you believe in
What you see

Nine to five
Living lies
Everyday
Stealing time
Everyone's taking everything they can
Everything they can
Everyone's taking everything they can
Everything they can

Do you believe
In what you feel
It doesn't seem to be anybody else who agrees with me

Do you believe
In what you see
Motionless wheel
Nothing is real
Wasting my time
In the waiting line
Do you believe
In what you see

And I'll shout and I'll scream
But I'd rather not be seen
And I'll hide away for another day

Do you believe
In what you see
Motionless wheel
Nothing is real
Wasting my time
In the waiting line
Do you believe
In what you see

Everyone's saying different things to me
Different things to me
Different things to me
Different things to me
Different things to me
Everyone's taking everything they can
Everything they can

Wasn't sure what I thought of this song when I first heard it but now I love it. Looks like RP just cost me some more money.

Thank you, BillG, for introducing this CD to me.  It now forms a staple of my "entertaining guests" play list.

Nope! Still a great movie. It's one of those timeless kind of sleeper films. With an amazing soundtrack.

That whole album is so tranquil. The others: not so much.

I so hope Illinois will legalize recreational use this year... I've got some bipolar that could use it... I asked the tattoo guys about scoring some after they recommended different varieties and they looked at me like a snitch. Hell, I only asked because my Psych said it would probably help!!!

Stunning album to chill to. Open that bottle close your eyes and let this album flow over you.
So...I'm currently hearing Sufjan Stevens - Chicago when this came up. Not complaining tho

Such a mellow tune
I can't believe this album is 15 years old!! I still rank this high in my top 10 for all-time cool album.
I agree with the last 5 comments. First heard it in Garden State. Always LOVE hearing this song!
Such a cool tune, such a cool album. Yet more decent music coming out of the UK!!

I finally found out who this is. Thanks for costing me even more money.
I first heard Zero 7 when I saw Garden State. This song drew me in.

Perfect 10.
Such a great segue song.  I imagine this is what was playing in the 'Waiting Place' as described by Seuss in 'All The Places You'll Go'

This song is so mellow I don't really even want to move my hands over the keyboard anymore...
One of those songs that when they come on I have to make sure I've rated it at least an 8 or 9 - love this tune!
perfect, mellow, sunny, breezy

three 9's in a row...thanks a lot!!
This song always makes me wish I was driving up the 101 between Ventura and Santa Barbara, with the sun making dazzling sun diamonds on the ocean, and the sea breeze blowing through the car windows.....
Bonobo followed by Zero 7 and... suddenly I can breathe despite the busy day. {#Meditate}

I find it fascinating that 13 years after its release, this song still gets so much playtime on RP. Seven plays in the past 30 days.

I am not complaining. I love this song. It holds up well with time.

Fair enough.  I do consider it an 8, which is funny because once I get up there to the 8th and 9th floors, the tune really must be reaching greatness, as in "will I be similarly impressed in 10 - 15 years?" and it would be a stretch to think so.  That said, I really think of this tune against the backdrop of the album it is a part of, and I can say that I expect to still be spinning that whole disk in 15 - 20 years -- that album is a great pleasure to listen to.

I've not listened to any of the lyrics, so I can't fairly comment on how deep, or not, they are.  Musically, there's nothing ground breaking or virtuosic, but it's the SOUND, Man, that this album is about; it's the atmosphere, which is very chilly ... in a most wonderful way.

Well, this tune was released twelve or thirteen years ago, so something about it must have a lasting effect.
This is on my playlist, "Chill Set," that I fall asleep to often, including the aforementioned set (Morcheeba, Air, etc.); also, Zero 7's "Destiny" along with a few dreamy tunes from Nellie McKay's tribute to Doris Day CD. Nice.
This song (and the album it is from) just puts me into a zen-like state.  I love it.
I believe I've heard this a few too many times now.
I do love this track, but how about something else from zero 7?

7 plays in 30 days, but no complaints here as it's a perfect song for this Friday morning.

Sublime. {#Meditate}  {#Good-vibes}
A nice acoustic version here
This is clearly a night for female vocalists. Not as great as some of the others, but there is still something in this. Something. And I never interrupt this supposedly moderate song because of it. There is something. The mantra at the end is great.
Slick, overplayed, lacking depth and a little boring.

Great song - frustratingly overplayed on Radio Paradise.

Most definitely we all perceive differently, and no question my perception creates my reality.  It then follows that we all live distinctly different realities, which I can also accept.  Everybody's truth is a little different.

Song's still a 10.

I remember this from the Garden State soundtrack.  Super excited for Zach Braff's next movie ... and the resulting soundtrack.
This song sounds like a Air fronted by a female lead to me

Negative, it's Sophie Barker, who also co-wrote the song.  Sia sang lead on many other Zero 7 songs, but not this one.
