not enough tunes use the banjo IMHO. can never have too much banjo.

This is classic Greg Brown, who actually has released 19 albums, more than Tom Waits. Some people think that when they hear an artist they don't know, they assume they ripped another artist off. Little do they know that they are an accomplished artist on their own................... Greg Brown stands fine on his own, and he is no Tom Waits. He is actually better! Greg is an acquired taste, somewhat akin to Dylan. I can't stand Dylan but others revere him. I like Greg while others loathe him. Different strokes for different folks. I like that RP plays stuff that might not appeal to me but appeals to others. I'll put up with the bad stuff (IMHO) in order to hear the good stuff, some of which I might not necessarily have on CD/LP.

OK, i officially downgraded this "song" to a "one" rating, because: I HATE THIS SONG!!!! It may be titled Lull it by, but it should be, Lull it to sleep. i have heard more pleasant sounds when one of my cats drags her claws across a blackboard.

I must've seen him on a bad night. Drunk and rambling (saw him before the show in the club's bar), little or no exchange with the audience, and generally unintelligible. I left after an hour or so. I didn't hate it, just wanted to leave before it got to where I did.
