Moonshine, waiting for a love that never comes
Moonshine, wish it were a time that never was

Waiting for a time, the truth to call
Waiting for a sign, show me all
Waiting for my love

Moonshine, drinking to a love that's gone on by
Moonshine, looking to the stars as cars go by

Waiting for a time, truth to call
Waiting for a sign, show me all
Waiting for a love

Waiting for a time, truth to call
Waiting for a sign, show me all
Waiting for a love

Waiting for a love
Waiting for my love
Waiting for my love

Moonshine, waiting for a love that never comes
comes

Why not just play the original by King Crimson. It's colossally better.

If there is an original of this song by King Crimson I am unaware of it. The original track is called Moon Child not Moon Shine. But they do seem to making tribute in some weird way.

Members of King Crimson are credited as co-writers for this song on this album.  It appears these guys felt like writing different lyrics and credited Fripp, Giles, Lake, McDonald,  and Sinfield as composers of the music.

I agree with others and believe that KC set a better mood in the original.  Look forward to hearing this a few more times.

Speaking of Crimson covers (I like this one) - check out the Unthanks version of Starless.

Would go perfectly on RP.
I won't be going to see them at the end of their hiatus. Even the M62 would be preferable.
PSD.  Too whiney.
The whiney is strong in this one.

I can't hear it as anything other than "moonshine."

Which would explain the quality of the vocals.
Good stuff.
I know Crimson\'s Moonchild is really better than this track, but it\'s a shame that a song like this has a so low average, when there\'s so much rubbish around to throw away. :??:
Guitar is nice, but it seems like the guy is intentionally singing poorly. Or maybe that\'s the best he can do, and the band is contractually obliged to let him sing one of the songs.
I think I lower my rating everytime I hear this .... song? I\'m hoping by the time I get down to 1, it will be the last broadcast. Not my kinda whine.
Waiting for the eeeeennnnnddddd.......

Sorry to be disagreeable, but I disagree. To the bands credit they have tried to do the song differently, which they have. Unfortunately it's not a patch on the original.
Easilly my favorite track off of The Last Broadcast. I didn't know it was a cover, but regardless, it's the only track that I normally play (at least) twice. Sorry Kevin ;)
This song is gore :(
Easilly my least favorite track off of The Last Broadcast. I didn\'t know it was a cover, but regardless, it\'s the only track that I normally pass over. Kevin
this has to be a DJ favorite - it gets played everytime I listen, i think
The distorted vocals pay a decent tribute to the King Crimson original, but I think Crimson sets the mood better. This is just a little too fast. Would love to hear more Crimson (either early or late) - their stuff was WAY ahead of their time. I like the Doves, but they seem to be on heavy rotation here.

lots of doves today, huh? They\'re starting to rub off on me... ;)
Stop singing, she/he might come to you  (I like other stuff from the doves, but this just sounds sloppy to me)
Great song, great album...keep playin them, they deserve recognition.
