Hey Bill,
I really like this song from Janah, but can you put Peripheral Life and A Long Day - All Day Long back in rotation?

Thanks!

I love this whole album including this song...I love driving to it...Probably the only one here that likes it but that's OK..I know what I like and that what matters to me. I found a Janah CD un opened at a yard sale  and  I can say it was one of  my bests finds at a yard sale so far. Since then I have remained open minded to many forms of music. I try not to be too harsh on  musicians who play their heart out and the way they feel. I am loosing respect quickly on the people here  and the kinds of words used to  describe something they consider bad. I will either like ot or not like it  depending how it resonates with me but I will never  slash a musicians work...even rap.

Kudos to you, sookie!  I'm not sure if you'll ever read this reply to your almost 7 year old comment, I want you to know that I also liked Janah, at least this track I just heard, which at first I was like "hmm....no...don't think so..." and then about 1/2 way through the song I was like "hey this is pretty cool, kinda reminds me of the oddball David Byrne, maybe we'll get some TH as a follow-up to this quirkiness" and I also really like your defense of muscians who "play their heart out" - I also try not to trash talk musicians when they're "feeling it" and "in the groove"

Long Live RP and all the like minded music fans here like sookie!!

PS - YES! David Byrne's "Back in the Box" came up next, which is kinda funny, like don't think too far out the box their, Janah, get back in the box lol

Maybe we should introduce Janah to Jain.

Maybe we shouldn't...
"...when I feel the snake bite enter my veins..", oh wait which came first ?
Seriously?  This is bad!

If so, pass the penicillen, please. I understand that prolonged exposure to this song will reduce in low-grade concussions and shrinking of the testicles.
shrinking of the testicles? how did you manage that?
This song is monotonous...it sounds like a crude rip-off of Talking Heads during their middle years....ouch! Maybe I need another listen....but then again maybe I don't
fun! yay!
I really dig the drums...
I'm going to let the bananas speak for me! :bananabanger: :bananabanger: :bananabanger:
I am soooo tired of hearing this.

If this doesn't define "infectious" I don't know what does. Quick, call the CDC! Very nice!
I completely agree - and look - the bananas dance to the rhythm!
Sounds like an Oingo Boingo song. Did Danny Elfman write this? :D
This really is terrible!
the instrumental version should be better. Can\'t stand the vocals.

ponderous :(
If this doesn\'t define \"infectious\" I don\'t know what does. Quick, call the CDC! Very nice!
This is an okay song to hear once in awhile, but lately it\'s into way too heavy a rotation here. Give it a rest for awhile, Bill, maybe give us a listen to something by this band besides this and Wake of the Sun.
:D
Why bother?

I agree. Sounds cool.
oh CRAP i can\'t help but like this - maybe next time it wont get stuck in my head all day
let the suckfest continue...
BLAH.....please make it stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow... Thanks to RadioParadise for introducing me to this great local band. I love the hard driving rhythms and the Middle Eastern influence. Their CD is full of great music. Can\'t wait to see them live.
Perhaps some shampoo will take care of the oil on the head. As far as the song - fun once in a while. :)
Isn\'t this the macarena on drugs?
I\'m definitely at the saturation point with this one. In fact, I might burst into flame if I hear it again.
The only times I\'ve had oil on my head have been during automotive maintenance efforts gone awry. This song sucks. Harshly.
wha?
Love this song - just can\'t stop dancing around the office. Dog\'s looking at me like I\'m nuts.
hmmmm guess that's the curse.... I was thinking about looking into getting the album.. I really liked the other song that RP plays.. but after hearing this one.. I think I'll wait till I've heard more of them.. and if need be look for a cd single of the other tune...

They are a bunch of (good) guys from Atlanta, GA (where I lived until very recently). I've seen them a couple times at some live shows around there; their sound live is pretty much what you are hearing on RadioParadise. In fact, you can hit up their website (www.janah.org) and download some live mp3s.
Good to hear my friends getting some airplay on the day of Festivus! I\'m always amazed when I hear thier music, it is very powerful stuff.
Funky. I like it.
This reminds me of the old Adrian Belew song, \"Big Electric Cat.\" Something about the rhythm section has the same taste and feel.
This sounds like what, after I first heard them in '93, I expected to later hear from Rusted Root as they progressed. Well they've become boring and bland, but this song certainly is not. Sounds good.
Saw these guys live last week. Great show, too bad nobody knew who they were!

No annoying vibrato from this lead singer - can\'t be Rusted Root. Great percussion and I love the Middle Eastern influence.

Love this stuff!
I had to check... I really thought part of Rusted Root must be in this band... Being that Rusted Root was a local band I cheered when they were getting started, I have a fondness... Great sound!
Okay, I\'m tapping my toes in my little cube... definitely a Root soundalike. :)
annoying in a likeable sort of way.
This song kicks ass imo
\"Oil on my head\" then light a match
dag - definitely Rusted Root. almost sounds like the exact same singer. cool stuff nonetheless.
Can anyone say Rusted Root. they sound alot a like. I like both.
