I lie awake
I've gone to ground
I'm watching porn
In my hotel dressing gown
And now I dream of you
But I still believe
There's only enough for one in this
Lonely hotel suite

The journey's long
And it feels so bad
I'm thinking back to the last day we had.
Old moon fades into the new
Soon I know that I'll be back with you
I'm nearly with you
I'm nearly with you

When I'm weak I draw strength from you
And when you're lost I know how to change your mood
And when I'm down you breathe life over me
Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny

On a clear day
I'll fly home to you
I'm bending time getting back to you
Old moon fades into the new
And soon I know I'll be back with you
I'm nearly with you
I'm nearly with you

When I'm weak I draw strength from you
And when you're lost I know how to change your mood
And when I'm down you breathe life over me
Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny

When I'm weak I draw strength from you
And when you're lost I know how to change your mood
And when I'm down you breathe life over me
Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny

I'll fly, I'll fly home
I'll fly home and I'll fly home

"When I'm weak I draw strength from you

This is the song on earth that I like the most.

It's a pity Sia doesn't have more songs like this.
Off key on purpose is still off key.
Thought it was Chrissie
J'adore Sia!

I do like the eclectic mix, so I shouldn't complain, but does this really belong here? It's perfectly OK for shopping along to while stoned, but I'd love to know why it's earned the privilege of RP playlist. It's not that it's not my taste, I just fail to see much quality in it. Help me out, willya?

If you "fail to see much quality in it" that fundamentally means that it is "not to (your) taste"; there is no scientific formula for determining tastes.  This song presently has a rating of 7.8 (not 4), which means that the majority of people rating it seem to believe that it does "really belong here".

Listen to it through headphones. Imagine stepping off a mountain and soaring over a beautiful landscape. Or something to that effect Lol

There are a lot of knowledgeable listeners here on Radio Paradise, but I'm mainly here to learn.  Love this sound, but this is completely new for me.  Happens all the time on RP.  Thanks!
Wow I didn't know they word "day" had a bunch of "R's" in it. I wonder how Sia feels about the aliens taking all of our JERRBS?

Wow, me too.
The harmonies grab me on this tune.
On the "nasal tone" subject, it comes thru to me a little when the melody modulates up.
But I don't find it unappealing, quite the contrary.
Whoa, how is it possible that I've never rated this?!? This is one of my favorite songs off of one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite groups.

10!
I would *love* to hear Vienna Teng's take on this tune.
I _love_ this song. It has been on my "go to sleep" playlist for a couple of years.
Hey, if this chick was singing to you in your bedroom, you'd love her. She has a smokey jazz room vibe, I love her the same way I love Geike Arneart for Hooverphonic.

Actually, John Lennon's singing style was often called "too nasal" by some critics - especially in the early days.  There are others: Dave Matthews, for one.

Well, if Tom Petty's or Chris Martin's voices were not on that list....then it just goes to show how worthless the critics are...except me of course...{#Lol}
Nice, one of those tracks that makes you want a nice cup of coffee.
I really like the music they've done with Tina Dico and Sophie Barker, but Sia Furler's voice bugs the crap out of me. This one gets a big YUCK from me.
Very relaxing...
That's about right. Disgusting gargling wailing, as well. Why do people sing in their heads so much anymore? Ugly.

More nasal wailing, sounds like being in Marks & Spencers
Bought this recording after its last play!

Great "album"!
Each time, the first sound of her voice causes me to fall deeply in Sucko-Barfo.

No. That type of music is not played here really.  I'd say Air is the closest thing that gets regular play.

He's got Boards of Canada's remix of Beck's Broken Drum in the library.  Also Aquarius.

Living up to my moniker...  easy to do during this song.

Outstanding song. Great voice and nice guitar. One of my favorites.
BIG Zero 7 fan.  Thanks, Bill.
Yes, Thanks!! Needed a mood changer!

Story, please!

Nice song.

Does RP every play Boards of Canada?  If not, why not?

I vastly prefer the end section - where the chord progression is I-IV-V, with Sia vamping over the top. Her voice intermingled so well with the instrumentation. That said the whole song's pretty decent, I just prefer the chord choices at the end (which is a shame, because it's the shortest part.)

Oh well, beggars can't be choosers! I can't imagine I'll hear this song or any others in today's playlist on the FM dial today...

The rhythm and the guitar sounds a lot like Sheryl Crow's "Safe and Sound"

(actually it's the other way around, since this song came out in 2001 and Safe and Sound was released in 2002)

Very nice!
This has always been one of my personal favorites; that chorus is yummy!

I believe it's the ringing from the open strings on the acoustic guitar track. I think that some speakers will really bring those mid range frequencies out.

So cool!!! Thank Bill! You just reminded me that I am going to see Sia this evening at the Gothic Theater in Denver, Colorado. This is one of the truly great little venues for killer shows in Denver and I can not wait to see her! Only a few hours now!
Love this song!!! One of my favorite CD's but 'Destiny" and "In the Waiting Line" are my favorites,,I have to admit that it is the sensual music is the attraction..great songs to play when you are being intimate.
Amazing tune.  Great band.

I like the groove of this band.  The vocals are fine to me; they're consistent with the feel of the music and genre.  I guess some listeners here would prefer to hear Ethel Merman robustly belting out every note (not that there's anything wrong with that).

For me, a "nasal" vocalist is not inherently a turn off but the song/singer have to be really good for me to ignore it.     This one achieves on both counts in my book.

R Kelly sings this way, too - makes me want to rip out his adenoids
