One way or another, I'm gonna find ya
I'm gonna get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya
One way or another, I'm gonna win ya
I'm gonna get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya

One way or another, I'm gonna see ya
I'm gonna meet ya, meet ya, meet ya, meet ya
One day, maybe next week
I'm gonna meet ya, I'm gonna meet ya, I'll meet ya

I will drive past your house
And if the lights are all down
I'll see who's around

One way or another, I'm gonna find ya
I'm gonna get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya
One way or another, I'm gonna win ya
I'll get ya, I'll get ya

One way or another, I'm gonna see ya
I'm gonna meet ya, meet ya, meet ya, meet ya
One day, maybe next week, I'm gonna meet ya
I'll meet ya, ahh

And if the lights are all out
I'll follow your bus downtown
See who's hangin' 'round

One way or another, I'm gonna lose ya
I'm gonna give you the slip
A slip of the hip for another
I'm gonna lose ya, I'm gonna trick ya, I'll trick ya

One way or another, I'm gonna lose ya
I'm gonna trick ya, trick ya, trick ya, trick ya
One way or another, I'm gonna lose ya
I'm gonna give you the slip

I walked down the mall
Stand over by the wall
Where I can see it all
Find out who ya call
Lead you to the supermarket checkouts
Some specials and rat food
Get lost in the crowd

One way or another, I'm gonna get ya
I'll get ya, I'll get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya
(Where I can see it all, find out who ya call)
One way or another, I'm gonna get ya
I'll get ya, I'll get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya
(Where I can see it all, find out who ya call)
One way or another, I'm gonna get ya
I'll get ya, I'll get ya, get ya, get ya, get ya
(Where I can see it all, find out who ya call)

GREAT TUNE!! Brings back memories!  Overplayed on the radio when released. Much better NOW in FLAC  w/ great studio phones, amp & DAC!  Thanx RP!
I think the Guitar-Solo part in this song changed the world of now called indie music forever.

Sucks that this song got co-opted by advertisers in the late 1980s or 1990s.

Oh Yeh?, RP has methods for making you change your mind. Bill could switch from Regular Mode to Depeche Mode and serve you a slice of Cake. Or he could give you The Weepies and then saddle you up with the Cowboy Junkies. He could even put you up a Porcupine Tree. One way or another you will like this tune!

Well said

It sure wasn't mainstream in the 70s.
Great tune!
Shake Rattle and Roll, (Big Joe Turner) Wild, Wild Life, (Talking heads) then One Way or Another, (Blondie).  Bill,  you are having fun.  So am I.  Thanks from Nairobi.

Kind of like "Every Breath You Take" eh? There are a few good stalker songs out there :).

Shows how good this song is!
I get sick of this song about 40 seconds into it.

I think that was sort of the intent.

I fell in love with Deborah Harry! This came out when I was 13 :) Puppy love :)

Hmm.. would've liked to.

Blondie was part of a scene in the 70s that helped make rock accessible again to many untutored, but creative musicians from outside the mainstream. Fun was restored. Why debate it like a college course? I'd be happy to bop along with any middle aged parents and their kids. (Like to hear some of the edgier pre-"Parallel Lines" Blondie stuff, though.)
Always enjoyed her live too.

Bollox its worth a 10 just for the teenage thought of Debbie. Oh oh Atomic.
Debbie Harry!  My first rock crush growing up!

I'll go along and say you gentlemen may be correct about thier live shows (never saw them)
but I don't like any of their records

Blondie's best tune!
Deborah Harry: va, va, va, va voom!
Never really cared for her music........and I'm old!
I was walking at this year's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and suddenly, in front of me was...

"CLEM! CLEM BURKE!!"

I shouted it the moment I saw him and he stopped like he might know me, then nodded yes and looked like I was a fan was the last person he'd want to talk to.

Frankly, at this point, there probably aren't many people who would 1) remember Blondie and 2) know what their drummer looked like and 3) could call him out by name in the middle of a music festival. I think I deserved a bit of a warmer reception.

What drugs were you taking when this came out?  This song and the other classic so-called "punk" songs never got played alot on the radio when the first came out.  It took years for the now Rock Hall of Famers Blondie, T Heads, Patti Smith and Ramones to get regular air play.
what's with all the oldies?

Everybody did. Took me a while to realize there were other songs on the album. Slowly, Debbie became "just" the singer in a really good band...

I see Bill's replaced the Best of cover with the original, per your suggestion.

That must have been something to see.  She is one performer who I definitely wish I had seen in person when she was in her prime.
Nothing better than listening to this song after I just fixed a bug that I've been working on for over two months!!!

Dancing all around!!!

Super Blondie by Butcher Billy
"Parallel Lines", the album that featured this song, was maybe the second or third record I ever bought. I know it by heart and consider that it has aged amazingly well {#Cool}

I'd love to have its original cover displayed instead of this "Best of", but maybe there are issues with copyright...!?

I do love that cover....

I used to fantasize that Deb was riding me cowgirl like she was on a b(f)ucking bronco and belting out this song. (blush)

This is my first time hearing Blondie on RP - Love it!
This is a few minutes of really ugly :)
A great song by a great artist.. chair dancing{#Guitarist}{#Music}

This segue a lot like one of my cassettes from the 80's Stevie Wonder followed directly by Blondie.
F*CK Yeah
La canción del acosador... jajajaja...{#Yell}

Right on!  It had virtually no beat, and you really couldn't dance to it.  I'll have to give it a 35...

I don't get this band at all.....{#Puke}

Back in the day, I thought "Rapture" was a wonderful parody of the emerging rap movement.  INMO, while poppy, I thought there was a subtle edge to their/her music.
Good song choice as I am doing " creative " tax work.
One way or another, their gonna get me, get me, get me  {#Frustrated}
Didn't care for it then, don't like it much now.  Never really "got" Blondie.  Still, they were yet another band that were part of the "female invasion" of rock in the late 70's, so that's a point in their favour.
Soooooo SICK OF THIS SICK SONG>>>>>BLAHHHH so over it Bill!

Read "All Hopped Up and ready to Go- the story of New york music" - Tony Fletcher" . it is funny when I tell people that punk started in New York with Patti Smith, Ramones, Talking Heads, Television and Blondie at CBGBs. It seems incongruous;
but it's always neat to hear about Deborah Harry being one of the gorgeous waitresses that they had at Max's Kansas City in late 60's early 70's and she was a folk-rock singer in a band called "the Wind and the Willows" around that time.

Agreed, tho Blondie was another rock band that ventured into and back out of disco but weren't really a disco band.

Um?
Always loved this band, such good memories!
I used to live near Cincinnati, and I always wanted the one line to be "Where I can see it all/Find some Hudepohl."

(Hudepohl being a local brewery.)

dont get it off the shelf again.  thanks{#Moon}

 Debbie can still play a leading role.........

For everyone who complains about the supposed glut of creepy guy-stalking-girl songs on RP... And this isn't creepy, it just rocks, dumbass sweeper commercials nonwithstanding.

This is what the Fonz had playing on his ipod when he jumped.....

I'm a fan of this song, but it's definitely dropped a number of notches IMHO since hearing it over and over and over again on that excruciatingly annoying Swiffer commercial that's been played constantly in Canada.
REALLY wish they hadn't given permission for that one - now all I can think of is cleaning when I hear this song.

Ok song,but for me I sit here thinking ok next song please, This one I've heard way no many times. Although, I am not that familiar with Blondie songs, this one I've heard it feels like a million times. Radio Paradise self this one for awhile please.
The Lyrics to me are rather simple-I want to say silly, but hey I'm not the best at interpreting what the songs mean- like me and poetry.{#Mad}

he said jump the shark. . . ay

If I never hear this again.....
soooo played
This is probably the only Blondie song I'm really sick of hearing. It's been used in a burger commercial, and then I knew it had really jumped the shark when my daughter was watching a "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" rerun, and Melissa Joan Hart (as Sabrina) was covering it with her "garage band" on the show. Please retire it for a good while...
I think I first heard this on The Muppet Show, way back when. She was the musical guest. Odd.
Seems like it was designed to go into montage scenes in cheesy movies.
spooky :-0
has anybody heard her new stuff?

Ah, such touching innocence :) - like the original poster, Debbie Harry was a not infrequent visitor to my dreams. By far the sexiest punk around (even sexier than Siouxsie Sioux), great voice, attitude, and really intelligent. Great to hear a Blondie classic again - 8 from the Nottingham jury.

I was like 11 or 12 and SO into Blondie. Weren't that many chicks on the radio back then. I don't have any of their albums anymore, so it's nice to hear em once in awhile. They were always a little off the wall.

And yet, your highest rated songs include Comfortably Numb, Good Times, Bad Times, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Werewolves Of London and others which you can hear on any classic rock clear channel brainwash 'zombie" stations... Curious..
I guess those songs are ones that I personally can relate to...I'm a lyrics person...and feel they are either poinant, or entertaining songs. By the way, I know a werewolf that lives in London. You don't have to hear those commercial songs THATmuch on RP. I guess it just ruins all the other great flow of music when they are thrown in. As for Blondie, maybe the band musicians are choice, but the blond is not. At the time, there wasn't anything like that, so they got put up high on a pedestal. I guess if Bill was going to play any Blondie he should play an album cut, something no one would expect, rather than the hits. I can't listen to any regular local station anymore (actually never did).....I don't know how people can be so mindless rehashing the same songs from the last 30 years and listening to them all day after day after day...
