(one more illusion)

well if you want to have great love
you've got to have great anger
well if you want to have great love
you've got to have great anger
when i see innocent folks shot down
should i just shake my head and frown
oh, oh pacem in terris
mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa

well if you want to hit the target square
(well if you want to hit the target square)
you better not have
(you better not have)
better not have thine anger
(thine anger)
or else it'll be just one more time
(well if you want to hit the target square)
where the correction creates another crime
(you better)

well if you want to hit the target square
(oh oh pacem in terris)
you better not have thine anger
(mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa)
or else it will be just one more time
the correction creates another crime

(oh eve)
(go tell adam)
(next time he asks you you say)
oh eve
(baby it's cold outside)
you tell adam
(oh eve)
next time he asks you you say
(you tell adam)
baby it's cold outside
(next time he asks you you say)
what's the password to come inside
(baby it's cold outside)
you say oh oh pacem in terris
(what's the password to come inside)
pacem in terris
(what's the password to come inside)
(you say oh oh pacem in terris)
(mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa)
(hey wa)
(hey wa)

we've got to get working on a building
a decent home for all of god's children
oh, oh pacem in terris
mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa

well if music could only bring peace
well i'd only be a musician
yeah if music could only bring peace
i'd only be a musician

and oh melody's break these chains well
yeah yeah pacem in terris
mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa

oh, oh pacem in terris
mir, shanti, salaam, hey wa
oh, oh pacem in terris

four thousand languages in this world
well it means the same thing to every boy and girl
oh, oh pacem in terris

Tedious and overly earnest, even by Indigo Girls standards.
Moved to say this is nasty.
I bet you the Indigo Girls are thinking to themselves that this is the worst song they ever did.
This is just okay. I give them kudos for doing something different than just a straight cover, but I can't say I really like it very much.
Dreary to a T :(

Muddy vocals, moody unertones not well developed... Nope, don\'t like it at all. (pimp)
Always disliked the Indigo Girls. This song just strengthens those feelings. :frustrated:  :moon:
what the *^%& is this! Usually I am an IG fan but even I can\'t let them get away with this.
A fitting tribute to the grand old man. And a captivating performance on its own merits.

ditto - alhtough I'm hesitant to call it a great song - at least as far as my taste runs. Still, not a stinker, just not wonderful.
I\'m a big IG fan, and believe Swamp Ophelia was the apex of their career. It was pretty much downhill from there. I\'m not sure if it\'s the \"more amy than emily\" influence or the new backup band, but it\'s just not the same as it used to be. The Indigo Girls used to put a smile on my face.. Now it just has me going \"what??\" :??:
Simply awful. A great song rendered irritating by this monotonous and droning performance.
This a cooler, more restrained sound from Indigos. I like this.
Cannot get enough Indigo\'s! Love it!!!
Surprised that this was Indigo Girls, and a Pete Seeger song. I like it!!
Wow, pretty good. I got really sick of Emily and Amy long ago, but this cover is not half bad.
And I like it too. There new CD is really good and worth the purchase. Thanks!
I like it!
Isn\'t one Bjork enough for this world?
definitely better than most of their stuff... but still only ho-hum. at least they arent doing too much of their trademark off-key "harmonizing".
