What's got into me?
Can't believe myself

How's about getting out of this place? Any ways
Got a lot of spare time
Some of my youth and all of my senses on overdrive

This was a stand-out song from when I first started listening to RP.
This is awful
That song didn't have much variation within itself. Long, repetitive, monotonous, and blah. I give it a 3 because I'm in a good mood.
Reminds me of Tones on Tail from the Album Pop (before they became Love and Rockets) Ah, the good old days!
Excellent. Saw them in concert with Doves a few years back.

Good call Richard! I agree.
8) Reminds me of Porcupine Tree & Beta Band too...
hypnotic
Kinda wann-be Floyd, but not quite there. :ask:
Paul Weller on Quaaludes. Wierdly. Infectious.

Afraid I agree--it is bedtime however and this is a good sleepytime song.
I love this song. The "some of my youth, and all of my senses on overdrive" parts really hit home. I like songs that just convey an emotion and no real coherent... thing.
I like it..but i'm not sure why Look to "cast of thousands" album 2
I'm not quite sure why... but I like it. .
Not so much on this tune, but this singer sounds much like peter gabriel on other cuts...
great song. i know this feeling.

Really!!!!!
Hmmmmm, sorta Pink Floydish-Set the controls for the heart of the sun.................
I'm pretty open to all styles of music, that's why I love this station... but this is one song I never need to hear again....
Very smooth. Nice for my head.
:yell: It's so good to know that new people are still doing quality stuff like that! Has anybody noticed the "progressive rock reinassance" that's going on? AT LAST!!!
Big CD sale recently and...grabbed this. Among others like the Eels. Why did I buy $150 (list) worth of tunes, RIAA? Because I heard them on Radiopardise first. Where else would I have heard it? How else do you expect the buying public to be aware of what's out there for purchase? Thanks - AGAIN - Bill & Rebecca.
Elbow - a great new band. Saw them open up for The Doves last year and they stole the show in my opinion. Their debut albu,m \"Asleep in the Back\" is a recommended purchase if you are a fan of Travis, Coldplay etc...

Yeah -- I've really started to enjoy this band too.

Set the Controls for the Elbow of the Sun?
I don\'t know, I can really see how you could hate this song, but I think it\'s awesome.
What is this? A Gregorian Rant? Man, is this monotonous. Literally.
Are they trying to sound like Pink Floyd or what? I hate it.

It's almost a year to the day when I first commented on this song. I still love it! Interesting...my first comment is now gone after I posted this. What's the limit on the number of posts per song Bill?
Any day now, this song can end!

I finally downloaded the whole album. It\'s not as good as this song, likeable anyway.
Decent, but it went on a bit too long with the repetative lyrics ...

My God! It's full of STARS!

I give it a 7. Not original but, if you're going to emulate a particular artist or sound, early PF is an excellent choice.

By looking at the comments below, I must say What an excellent job Elbow has done conveying the meaning behind this tune. Any day now, this song will go somewhere else, maybe... :notworthy:

I dig the robots.
How can something so monotonous sound so good? Great work, RP.
WOW - I like this... very groovy
Early Pink Floyd meets Radiohead?
Etherial, sublime!
Awesome song! After hearing it the other day on RP, I went out and found myself a used copy of \"Asleep in the Back\" -- well worth the cost indeed.
i think they\'re on a musical treadmill, this song is going nowhere fast.
Makes me feel like I\'m about to be assimilated.
Dudes, there are, like, six other notes in that octave. Not to mention all those lovely accidentals in-between. And whole other octaves to explore... ...and yet, at about half the length, there might be a cool song in there somewhere.
Yeah, pretty monotonous. :frustrated:
NOT! Where\'s the composition? Monotonous comes to mind...
Any Day Now has become my theme song these days about wanting to leave my current job, i like the tune, and arrangement. if you could play it every work day at 6:15am EST, it would like my day. \'any day now .... getting out of this place\" thank RP for playing something i would never hear on FM
I\'ve heard this waaaay too much on RP. Play something else by them, Please? BTW what the heck is that song about anyway? Driving?
Actually, after hearing a few times, this one is starting to grow on me. I am starting to like the robot sound.
MOMMY MAKE IT STOP!
i don\'t like the robot sound they have going.
love this one - thanks for playing it!
very interesting....i\'ll have to look this group up and see what they are all about.
ugh - enough already - how boring :??: just lost lunch
I\'d like to hear something else by Elbow. So much good feedback but there\'s something about this song that just creeps me out.
Very Radioheadish. Me like.
bring on more of Elbow...
This song has been stuck in my head since it played nearly an hour and half ago. Which would be fine if I only knew more than 3, words (Any Day Now). There, that's better. :)
zzzzzzzz....My God, what a tedious song  - sounds like 'Meddle' played backwards. In fact, I've already forgotten what it sounds like. :p
Wake me up when this song is over.
YET ANOTHER disc that I purchased after having heard it first on RadioParadise. long live internet radio! and this is quite an excellent disc overall, I must say.
Elbow, brilliant new electro-baggy. More please. Even though I have the CD. This is the best track.
Very cool song. I really like it!
just saw these guys last week with pete yorn. amazing show, they opened with this song.
Any day now, this repetitive song will finally end and I can stop cringing. I actually like the tune fundamentally, but I get annoyed when songs seem to go on auto-pilot.
Brilliant-bravo I must say
I like this Elbow track: sort of Phish-like in a \"Billy Breathes\" kind of way with Super Furry Animals thrown in for good measure (they are more funnybone than Elbow, though).
Nice tune...hope it plays again, i hate to rate songs on first impressions.
