We go out on the world tonight
With our blue diamonds
That were once our fears pressin' down on the town.
We go out my love
Holdin' all our bets.
Oh my lady resurrect this breath
On this hour of the night.
We'll make it love, we'll make it love.

Chorus:
'Cause I found you now.
And forever I won't waste this breath.
The time be by our side.
It's now or never,
I won't waste this breath.

Now don't you wait, I feel it in my head
Oh my lady, you're the woman I search
To roam my heart, roam my heart this way
Heeeey

Chorus:
'Cause I found you now.
And forever I won't waste this breath.
The time be by our side.
It's now or never,
I won't waste this breath.

I remember a time
A little less tame.
You roam my heart
Ooon this way, this way.

We go out on the world tonight
With our blue diamonds
That were once our fears pressin' down on the town.
We go out my love
Holdin' all our bets.
Oh my lady resurrect this breath
On this hour of the night.
We'll make it love, we'll make it love.

Chorus:
'Cause I found you now.
And forever I won't waste this breath.
The time be by our side.
It's now or never,
I won't waste this breath.

A confused songwriting.

Agree.
A confused songwriting.
I have known lots of people who dislike this band, but I actually like them.  I probably shouldn't because all of the criticisms are valid.  And yet, I love the voices and the overwrought tremolo and the just off-key harmonies.  It all works for me even though it shouldn't.

RP - Please keep playing the band.  Everyone else, forward to the next track!

Rough on the ears
This song is just plain weird...
i don't get it. this is the kind fo song that defines RP. very cool. like a breeze.
Yuck! Not Good, never got this Band, to each their own. Please end.

I came here to write exactly that. Touché Sir

I'm sure that they've grown up in the generation that has been habitually rewarded because it would be good for their self-esteem. Yes. They tried.

And Island Records rewarded them with a contract apparently.  Hmmm.  {#Think}
Sounds like the catholic school band "The Criers and Whiners".
Love it
really glad this finally ended...holy whine fest Batman
This doesn't seem popular, but I find it very pleasant.  6 at least from my new Creative office speakers.

I'm not so sure their ages have anything to do with it.

{#Stop}   and it just goes on and on and on.....

Welcome to my party. Care for some for whine?
Sounds pretty good to me! (Turn it up, man!)

I don't mind the song, even if his singing is a little too much out of his reach at times, but the harmony is simply AWFUL.  Maybe they didn't intend for her to sing in harmony, just to sing whatever without any melody or rhythm to what he is singing.  I just question that choice.

I'm sorry, RR fans—I just cannot stand this band, especially the male singer. I'm not sure what it is that annoys me so much about his voice—the tremolo he way overuses, or just his affectations. I've just never heard a song by the band that I like, or even can tolerate long enough to get to the end of.

The voice really doesn't suit the song: he sounds like a guy who's about to eliminated from American Idol, forced to sing a Neil Finn song.
sounds like the theme song of a 22-minute sitcom involving romantic 20 somethings with delusions of sexy counterculture hip—about to be cancelled though. like, bummer. i know, right?
they are the worst ever. ugh.

Excuse me, Miss? I'd like a little less cheese with my music? This guy's smarmy, syrupy voice annoys the hell out of me.

I like the cover art......
yuk.

It's music.  What are you hoping to "get?"

they were uninspiring in concert..........
RP and I really part company when it comes to this kind of over done stuff.
Perfectly clear why BillG likes this one.  Very nice.

Song seems to go nowhere, just plods along. Not that getting somewhere is the point (It's the journey, not the destination) but it seems like they didn't take the scenic route to wherever they're going
Are these blue diamonds In The Sky, or are they On The Soles Of Her Shoes?
nice, very different from their usual style ...
ahhh, my favorite neo-hippie yinzers!!! No wonder a neo-hippie yinzer like me would like them.
I once had blue diamonds. Oh, wait. Those weren't diamonds.
Always been good.

Not quite sure if this guy can sing or not. every once in a while he seems to hold a note.
Most annoying sound in the universe...at least in the top ten.
Hmmm... lots of flak for the voice. Doesn\'t bother me - it\'s kind of \"sandy\". And it goes well with the chick\'s voice. Oh, but good zing about being in front of the computer. Some geeks think they\'ve *already* inherited the earth. ;)
Nice song to hear today. I need to put this CD back into the rotation.

Well, he sing a heck of a lot better than most. That's why he's behind the mic and you're in front of a computer.
You say that like it's a bad thing..
i simply love this song... it's been a favorite of mine for years... it's a shame that a lot of rusted root fans shunned this album... i think they did a great job with it.

I love this guy.

Yeah, I think they would've been better off shelving the rest of the song and just building off this riff. But that's just me.
I really like Rusted Root. This guy\'s voice is so strong and they put on a great live show! Good song!
Root is perfect for this station, but there\'s a few better tunes that aren\'t so... snoooooooozy... <> ;-)
Not a big RR fan, but this was AWESOME!
What a snooooooooozer. Wake me when it\'s over.
good tune but a bit overplayed.. dont ya think?
interesting...i dig bands/songs which tend to have a voice that is a bit off-kilter....and I used to like this one, but have heard it enough for a while. Shelve it.
That\'s okay, I can\'t stand REM for the same reason, but LOVE RR.

Hmmmmmm..I quite like his voice and this song. :)

I totally agree. His voice ruins this song (or any of their other songs he sings) for me. There is another Rusted Root song being played on RP that I do enjoy because the female singer is the lead vocal.
Damn this is good... good enough to compel me to upgrade from a 9 to a 10.
For the most part, I don\'t care for Rusted Root. The guy sounds too much like a David Byrne impersonator for my liking. I really do like the funky Eastern bridge in this song though.
Love it! :D
Very nice singalong tune. Their voices fit perfectly together. The song has got a \'bridge\' you wouldn\'t expect, btw.
You know, when I heard this just right now, I was thinking exactly the same thing! Great song.

What an intelligent statement. They're new album is excellent! Run out and buy it
YAY! New Rusted Root! Now I can only hope they\'ll do a larger tour and get down to GA!
