I got excited to hear the Talk Talk - I Believe in You drum sample, then I got disappointed when I found out that's not the song that's playing, but then it turned out the song that's actually playing is also good. What a rollercoaster.
GREAT!  The more I Hear this, the more I like it.  Thanx RP!
GOOD TUNE! i  I never heard of them before. Thanx RP!

Maybe, viscerally at best!
thievry corporation? boring........
enough of this, dont want to fall back to asleep'.
Bill just loves this redundendt crap and for the life of me I don't know why.

I bought their album (Numero Deux) because of this song. Normally I don't really like "lounge" music (to what it probably comes closest if one had to put a stamp on it), but this album really has a soul, great voices, excellent percussion.
It is the simplicity which is so appealing.
ooh i'm kind of diggin this one for some reason, it's really basic but i love the mood of the song.

Take a pill, Dude.
Beginning:...Yeah yeah, yo yo , aha aha, check it out check it out... Verse(Some drunken voice...):...Where is Agent Cooper? ;) I thought i saw him around here.... End: ...At Last....

Twin Peaks-y. And that ain't bad... a 6.
Hey I agree with the soma fm comparison but I think it is definetly a good thing. Bill gives us light and airy..... and then meat that we can sink our teeth into. I love that mixture. Despite what the atkins peeps think, ,you can't always have meat. Constipates the poop shoot. My ears needs the variety to stay regular
The Dining Rooms are a great addition to any groovin', downtempo, chill, let me take yer coat baby, music! Thanks Bill

Most of all groove sounds today cool, this one is working my nerves though,! Dining Room OUCH!
we are bored - resistance is futile...........a cure for insomnia
Yeah, I really dig this...who's in these "Dining Rooms" ? Mysterious, yet groovy.

I thought it was a remix of Talk Talk!
Thank goodness it's not. That song does not need remixing. They do, however, sample Talk Talk in that first bit of drum looping. So I guess they're only guilty of having good taste in who their theiving.
A bit of a snoozer....ZZZzzzzzzz

That's what I was thinking, too. It sounds like a remix of Elvis Costello. "When I Was Cruel No. 2", mayhaps?
Uh - did you mean ripoff instead of remix? Also note the title ripoff of Pete Townshend's song.

Yeah this sounds like porn music....
I liken it more to an upbeat peice that escaped being played in one of the Twin Peakes episodes... also sounds much like the lead singer from Soul Coughing very cool..
Dining Rooms... just a step forward from Wallpaper. :D No really, it takes the edge off work -- just far enough out of the ordinary.
Yeah this sounds like porn music....

How do I find out more about this "F. McDonald" Nevermind
Excellent. A little down-tempo funkiness. I love it.

I thought it was Soul Coughing as well.
Oh, he was from The Bad Seeds, that explains the brilliance (for those of you who don't know, allmusic.com is a great place for finding this kind of info) /M

i picked this up after hearing it on HBO\'s six feet under, it\'s not something that should be played often, but it has a place in my music collection.

This is a good jam. I am going to buy this after I get off work today. That\'s why I love RP. As should the smaller/independent record companies.

awesome. we need more downtempo-esque tunes around here! many thanks to whomever uploaded this one! ps - is that M Doughty from Soul Coughing on vocals?
The correct band name is The Dining Rooms and this song is from their album "Numero Deux", at least the original version of the song is. :)
