I'm a simple man, I see Loreena I click 10.
LMAO... commented on Robert Plant playing with Afro Celt's... said would love to hear Loreena McKennitt in the mix!  Solo is just fine!

Another Manitoba musician of top tier calibre.

I bet that province punches well above its demographic weight for great popular musicians.   Guess Who, Neil Young, BTO, Loreena McKennit of course.  I am sure I am leaving out a bunch.

A band that never made the mainstream but I always enjoyed live were the Welfare Starlets. Anyone got something to upload from them?

I think the Waking Eyes were from Manitoba. As was Crash Test Dummies.
She's not singing. It's tolerable to me.
I used to see her busk at the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto in the early and mid 1980's. It was feckin' magic!

Bonny Portmore and Snow are my favs from Loreena. Ethereal yet powerful voice, haunting melodies. She's Canadian; Canada; North Americas better half. :nodhead:

Lady of Shallot is a good one too.

Nice segue, Bill! I like the Celtic mix you've got goin' on! More, please!

I like the tune, I just hope she doesn't turn out to be another New Age goddess...a 7.
Willie & Lobo like.
I like the complete album
Quite lovely, if not especially challenging.
I don't like all of her stuff, but this is sublime
beautiful.
