Like the whispering wind you sent to me
Like the hopeless time you gave to me
I watched your dreams all slip away
I watched your dreams all slip away

There's a hopeless place inside my heart
When I look inside I see where we are
Like the whispering wind in the top of the trees
I will watch the sky come following me

Like the rain on my windows late every night
Like the hope I have for us every time
It's like the whispering wind in the top of the trees
I see it sway as you come for me

There's a whispering wind, I feel it inside
Like a place I can feel but never will see
Let a whisper come touch you, come touch every thing
I stand in the way of the things I can be

Let the whispering wind come lift us away
Let it push us apart if we wish to stay
You're my sweetness, my baby, my love for all time
Like the whispering wind it makes you all mine

Like the whispering wind you stand here with me
Like the whispering wind you stand here with me
I see your dreams all slip away

Sometimes I wonder if he's not having us on, testing to see how much praise we'll bestow no matter what kind of boring, pretentious nonsense he puts his mane on. "Oh, it's Moby, it must be good."
Rated this a 10 because of all the douchbag haters in the comments.
So laaaaaame... What an artist!!! (shameless sarcasm)

No, it's Moby thinking he's new and hip.
This song kinda reminds me of the song that's playing on repeat in the Ice Breaker game (warning: if you start playing, you will spend couple of hours on it!)
Must laugh... and again and again.

Another first for me here at RP.
Wasn't there a cowboy song with the same or similar title? A quick google does not reveal it, but I know I've heard it. Maybe a tune in one of those Gene Autry westerns of the 1940s.

Maybe you're thinking of Tumbling Tumbleweeds!
5 minutes ready song... Please don't made this in rotation.

I felt the same thing.

REALLY dig Moby.  Thanks for the play RP.

If I'm not mistaken, this is from the "Hotel" period when Moby was suffering terrible, multi-day insomnia; naturally, his music reflected his life, views, and in this case, that meant he holed up in a NYC hotel room for about a month and started composing.  That largely consisted of Moby composing around/about what he saw from his room's window — he didn't leave the room for weeks.  Needless to say, his material from that campaign has a particular "atmospheric" quality to it, in a Moby way it reminds of some of Eno's work.
First play in 9 years?  Wow.
Pretty good. I wouldn't expect to hear this in a supermarket (unless it was on my personal sound system).
it may be 4 am there but it is 7 am here and i am trying to WAKE up...
It sucks like a hoover.
Whispering Wind - and it is whispering, \"Where\'s Ahad when you need him to harpoon this white noise..\"
Someone kick the record player, the needle\'s stuck :D (Guess I\'m showing my age on that - I meant to say the stylus is stuck)
Well, I just changed my rating from 2 to 1. The first 1 I\'ve given anything on RP. I just don\'t find much redeeming value in this and find it annoying.

It's obvious that it doesn't work for everybody (sometimes on the contrary) but I know it's mend to have that effect (not only in supermarkets of course) As a matter of fact, I mostly do notice music played in public places too, but when I asked an employee, at the supermarket I visit most, why they kept running the same tape over and over and over again, she said she hardly did notice it was on and neither did most of the customers, but....they start missing it when it isn't!

This is a great tune, and it\'s one of many great mixes that you will find on the series of \"Cafe Del Mar\" albums, I think this is on volume 7. If you like this.. you really need to check out that series.
what a song!! i could listen to such music for hours. i just like it. excellent.
I don\'t know... I like it :) Good chill-out stuff... But then I have strange tastes... :D
I agree. Pretty dull. Not much to it. Very uninspired.
Pretty dull - not sure it even belongs on the B side
