Throwing this in while I was shouting along to Moody Blues "Tuesday Afternoon" is exquisitely delicious.

I thought the same thing - lots of notes and timing in common. Still a nice piece.
Love this from Santana. Wish there was an updated band pic for 2020 on the Wikipedia info.

Great and smooth. Go on.

That doesn't sound like any of the divorces most of my friends (and one of my ex-gfs) has experienced.
I will sleep in the office at 2 p.m.
elevator music

This doesn't rock out like other cuts of his, but here, Carlos expresses the pure Essence of Latin Rock with nuances that astound me...
Am I the only person who goes to the elevator to listen to music?

Nope, he can only make very boooooring songs like this one...

To wired for the elevator...Suggestion: good for Staples Superstore as background.  {#Stop}
Where did i put that No Doz?

This is not rock — smooth jazz, ick.

Simply beautiful. Carlos rocks when he rocks, but he is so smooth when he's just blusin' out.

Best ever?!?  I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but DAMN - we might need to make an exception for you!

{#Frustrated}

Please make it stop.  This is the first time in years I actually thought about changing stations mid song.

Does originality justify it then?

I love Santana, but this is not good...

Right on!  He may use the same scales a lot (Dorian mode and harmonic minor a la "Smooth," and so sounds a bit samey, but I still love his playing.
Stuff like "Europa" live, where he hangs that note in the air for like, minutes.  Some cool stuff.

next up, Chuck Mangione, only here on KBAY, the Bay Areas soft rock station
I could listen to Santana all day...I think I just did.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who heard "Fly Me to the Moon" in this.

I remember when I danced to this years ago and was shy and beginning to love for the first time.

Think what ya want , likely the last Santana Cd I'll ever buy. Bought many before , but none since

Why, it's a perfectly cromulent word, and describes the track very well. Most of Santana's music, actually.

guitars at his best. he did a private show in marin one night, he was electrofying...

Borderline insulting... :headache.gif:
Just one of many boring santana tunes... - his old stuff was nice, but with the years he became very monotonous
elevator music. carlos has gotten a little too mellow with age, methinks.
Reminds me of "Close Your Eyes" - the melodramatic Buffy & Angel love theme from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Not necessarily a bad thing, mind you - I'm a big Buffy fan - but "Close Your Eyes" isn't on my list of favorite Buffy tunes.
Listen to his guitar tone! :notworthy:
WAIT A MINUTE!!! B&R are probably from SoCal- thus explaining the lean toward Latin music... ...or maybe not, I could just be full of taquitos.

Yup, that is what I thought too after hearing a few seconds of this song as well. "Wait, isn't this..." :-k 8O :nodhead:

I do dig Santana, but this is not one of my favorites. Nice playing, but overall it's just a bit too "easy-listening" for me. :-({|=

I agree with Spieler. I don't like any Santana I have heard yet. This is different from most, but not therefore superior at all. I guess I don't like repetitive and soporificizing music. (Yes, I coined one word.)
Well... What you lack in musical taste, you more than make up for with your phantasmagorical locution, pussylover!

Seconded. That is one of my favorites for both passive and active listening. Simply a beautiful album.

This is actually nice. I've been annoyed by the Santana stuff like the songs he does with these quasi-rock-boy-bands like Matchbox 20 and the other guy with the gravely voice "every time I try to tell you the words come out wrong" ... songs that Clearchannel stations play every other song! I prefer Santana playing on his own.
Wail on forever, Carlos! :notworthy:
Suave.

Lisa, good call! Now that I hear this song again I do hear strains of Fly Me To the Moon . No matter what though, Carlos' guitar speaks to me on a spiritual level.
Sounds a lot like \"Blue Bossa\"

Hmm...I have supernatural, but for some reason I was thinking this was an old song that Santana was covering...guess I\'ll have to go look at the liner notes.
Too much Santana for too long now and I\'m saturated. Never heard this though, and I\'ll admit I didn\'t recognize it from the first note.
This is on Supernatural?! Guess I need to buy that disc, this is amazing.
*****!
can you believe i\'ve never heard this? its gorgeous!
