Wow.   the level of awfulness on this stunt song is just awesome!
And what's with her impression of a dog being kicked?
Followed by wretching, then engrish ponderings of a girl walking on thin ice, and there goes the dog-kicking again.
I honestly thought I'd make it my whole life without ever hearing any of Yoko's "art".
Wierd experience.   More proof that, it's not always how talented ya are, but who you're boffing.
Why ya playing this?    Lol
The two "10" votes must be Yoko's and Julian's or Sean's.
I really tried on this one.  It wasn't bad until the break (desperately needed), but when she started the 'ai, ai, ai, ai' thang, following by retching, it lost me.  It never recovered and continued to get worse.  Gotta say: the 2 is earned (the first 20 seconds save it from a 1).
Well, now I can say that  have actually have heard a song by Yoko.  I expected it to be a horrific experience that would give me nightmares, but instead it just sucked.

For more insight into how much this woman sucks, see this video of her ruining a performance of John Lennon and Chuck Berry:

I really tried to see if I could get through the whole "song"...nope...
If anyone else in the entire world had recorded this "song" it would never have been heard again.  The musical definition of a drunk dial.
you kidding me?  i saw yoko clear jack murphy stadium during an after ball game concert back in the 70's. the opening act was well recieved and when yoko came on we all thought her catterwalling yodeling was a joke.  ppl left like FIRE had been yelled.

ps even that it was cheap beer night didnt help
I bet if her name wasn't displayed when the song played, the ratings wouldn't be so low.

"It's not that bad" would be damning it with faint praise, but it's better than a 2.

First she broke up the band and now, thanks to Bill, she's breaking the water glass on my desk. Hideous.

Oh dude, car alarm, that's funny
This might be the first, and hopefully, the last Yoko Ono solo song i've ever heard. This is pretty awful.
This came up on the PSD button. I was intrigued to hear it because I just read the excellent biography "Days That I'll Remember" (highly recommended).

Anyway, I was really pleasantly surprised to hear this, and think it's excellent — there are some times when I won't want to hear it, but today it was very well received!
"0 - Doglike"
Listening to this is a learning experience, a chance to confirm firsthand that Yoko is/was as bad as her reputation.

I can think of at least one awful, tasteless joke as an add on to this, but let's be bigger than that. John and Yoko loved each other dearly. She very likely inspired and helped him put out some great music. Her own strengths lie beyond (!) the music industry.

The brief tribute to John at the closing Olympics ceremony this past summer was touching.

The rating assigned by RP-audience had to be totally accurate. This function had to work out at least once. This is a case.
Still, I must say that most of the ratings assigned here are inflated (positive discrimination) due to the generosity and kindness of listeners, and, in some cases, perhaps sympathy and courtesy by the choices of RP-production, and most notorious in music and artists from the U.S.

Crybabies!

On a separate topic:  Thanks Bill for the history behind this song.  I
Yoko Oh-No-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-
na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-
nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-nay-
ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay- ...
Please don't ever play that again!!!!
Hmmm... have to go against the grain once more.  Liked it, perhaps because I didn't know it was Yoko when it played (I've never been all that crazy about her musically or otherwise).  Really unusual sound that works when cranked up for some reason.
First time I've turned RP off in the middle of a song.... need a 0 rating...
And I add (to the comment below) it was from the yapping stepped-on-puppy sound that kept going on and on... not from it being Yoko Ono or the music type.
It's nice that John wanted to give his wife a shot at the music business but it's terrible that John wanted to give his wife a shot at the music business.
annoying.  really annoying.
We had to shut off Radio Paradise in our office once this song came up... very distracting!!

What is a song with 2.7 rating doing on Radio Paradise?
Nice to hear this again.
We have RP playing over our office sound system. It's such a regular part of the day that no one ever comments on the music. But in the midst of one of the screeching "ay ay ay ay" moments, an employee shouted, "Why the hell is this song still playing?"

Thank you for the PSD button. The entire office is much happier!

{#Lol}
It's not like it's a bad song, except for that screeching sound in the middle and in the end.  That just... really, really wrecks it.
I think she actually barfed or at least gagged a little somewhere in there.
The bas line and percussion tracks are pretty good, not new, just pretty good.  The rest is just blah. If she didn't have money and hooked up with Lennon she would be an after thought in the music world.

I've never heard this song before.  Did she just throw up to a beat?

O-M-G!!! This is quite literally one of the single worst "songs" I have ever heard!!!
THE PUREST DEFINITION OF SUCKO-BARFO.
if you must, she has a couple tolerable songs on milk and honey. Please make this one go away.
Gross. Just plain gross.
This is awful and yes, she did break up The Beatles.
My 3 years old cousin really loves this song. Specially ''ayaayaayaayaayaayaayayaaya'' part. What about me? God, no.

damn it, Yoko, you're harshing my mellow.

pre-Bjork...
Lol  I'll rate it an 8.
Wow. This is really fun to hate. It's a little like smelling sour milk. Thanks Bill!
Lowest rated song in the history of RP?
Should be if it isn't!
Wow...I remember dancing to this in Boston clubs when the new wave scene hit. Still enjoy hearing this!
Horrible {#Sick}
Hahaha, haven't heard this in many years. Never forgot it, though.

You know, I used to thing it was really weird and not listenable.

Not having that impression tonight. Pleasingly avant-garde.

Thanks, Bill.
Barf-o-meter readings are dangerously high here captain  {#Sick}

The PSD appears to have miscalibrated and has brought us to a very bad place.

Believe ir or not, there are songs less rated than this in RP, {#Eek}
I'm really not a fan of chihuahuas.
I have no idea how to rate this.

I was digging it at the outset but it does go on too long and is repetitive. And I try not to let factors like “it was the inspiration for so-and-so to write a really good song” enter into my ratings.

Hmmmmm....
I thought a car alarm was going off outside.

First she broke up the band and now, thanks to Bill, she's breaking the water glass on my desk. Hideous.
Never play that song again.
I agree, I think the music holds up well...sounds like Bill is distancing himself from the vocals as I write this.
I enjoyed the bit of trivia at the end Bill.  Thanks!
Just can't handle hearing the poor puppy being continually run over!  {#Rolleyes}
I thought it was new, and that she was influenced by Bjork among some others. But obviously it's the other way around!

I am not usually a fan but I like this.
I quite enjoyed the first minute.

The second not so much. Onwards and downwards from there.
WOW.....REALLY no thank you!  That's as polite as I can say it!  ....Oh - sure Bil -l you then have to share the unbelievable context of song and now I may have to reconsider! Maybe that screaming and tension at the end (that is so horrible!) is a foreshadow...hmmmm?! See what happens now Bill?!?!
I'd sure appreciate it if someone could tell me why this has any merit at all.
Really not bad if you can get past her voice. The music holds up well IMO. Can definitely hear the influence (but in which direction?) of contemporary NYC art-pop like Talking Heads et al. in this. 5
AY AY AY AY AY AY my ears almost exploded. How did this get through guys, focus!

the part where she sounds like a wounded dog is freaking out the dogs at work.  :(

yeah, we have work dogs.  :)
Yep...  I knew it!  {#Eyes}
STOP!!!  PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!
Say what you will, she did have some influence on the sounds of some bands especially in the 80s. For good or evil, I'll leave that to you to say.
Unmistakenly Yoko......can't wait to see RP' peeps comments on this one!!!! Mix it up Bill...mix it up! That last part reminds me of that song where the guy say's "baby...you make me want to walk like a camel"......
She hasn't fallen through yet huh? Maybe by the end of the tune she will.
