Don't care what anyone else thinks. This is one my 10's on RP. Melancholic, moody, mindbending, meaningful. I'll be over there in the comfy chair with my headphones on just soaking it up for the next 20 minutes or so.

Aaaah!  To be 5 and on a wicked cereal sugar rush again.....

"Son, one day, you may perhaps understand...."

;o)
Interesting factoid. Bill just mentioned that on 9/11 after the 2nd Tower fell, he didn't know what to play, so he looped this song 12 times in a row. How cathartic.
Okay, so I love Pink Floyd, and this came out when there was enough maturation in rock and roll that the likes of Floyd and The Beach Boys could really go gonzo in their experimentation, but I must say that this is not a pleasant listen for me.  In an odd way, that is good because it reminds me that even though it's easy to believe Pink Floyd could do no wrong, this cut makes it clear that there is mortality out there for all of us. LOL.

As always, RP gets kudos for also taking the risk of playing not only something that is risky, but is a very long risky -- please keep that up!
Thanks many lot for this beautiful song.. Love it..
Well, this awesome
Perfect soundtrack while waiting for the roux to bubble. Thanks!
Besides Echoes my favourite Track of Floyd ... can’t get enough.
I find it very mooooving.
Quite some work there back when such pieces were new to one's rock n' roll ears 48 years ago. Then came Tommy and Quadrophenia. Prior to this about the longest playing thing we had was In A Gada Da Vida. Jeeze I date myself. Thanks for the entire track Bill!
Ugh.  This "gem" was clearly unearthed from the RP depths recently for some reason.  Please rebury it for another 16 years...not even possible to NOT turn it off...wish there was a negative rating button...
This is my first ever comment on RP. And this only because RP dares to play the complete Atom Heart Mother Suite!
Congratulations guys! Keep on playing controversial stuff!

When this piece came out or I became aware of it, nobody of my friends could understand what I liked so much about it. So I listened to it only when being alone, which over the years made the piece unique and created a very special and strong relationship.
And I still love it!

Probably you must have special memories to the time this music came to us to find it great. Fortunately so it was. A strong 9, at least.

Agreed... Glorious memories! Great to revisit this on a grey Saturday afternoon.

I can't believe this overwrought, pretentious, frankenstein-put-together piece of junk. I only found the "Play Something Different" feature of the app AFTER this horrible, never-ending "music" played. I was stuck listening to this and somewhere near the middle was begging for it to end. Unfortunately it never did.

Somewhere, this piece is still going on and on ....

I love Radio Paradise but please oh please don't ever, EVER play another  20+ minute piece of music again.

This is a very fine musical experiment.  It's humorous.  Perhaps in its way it's commenting on the very pretentiousness you claim to loathe.
You can always leave the room. Have a shot of something alcoholically nutritious. Smoke some devil's lettuce.  (I'm sure the music's authors were doing same or similar.)  And lighten up.
I don't know quite what spumonti, but wasn't it half of the brand name of some pretentious, cheap-ass sparkling wine that was once or still is sold in U.S.?
In my eighth decade and have never heard this before but thoroughly enjoying it.  As I listen, I hear it as I should have as a youth - totally transfixed!

Oh for the days when FM radio stations played entire albums all night.

So true!  I remember that WVUD also include 1 beep at the beginning for a 2-second lead-in, and then 2 beeps at the end so the listeners would know when to start and stop their recorders.  LOL.
Oh for the days when FM radio stations played entire albums all night.

Hey kids...if you get something you don't like from PSD, you can hit 'Stop' and then PSD again for another spin at the wheel, or keep going until it hits on something you like.

ummm, stuck here with PSD {#Eek}

I cant believe I missed RP playing this
This great song hasn't been played in 12 years? One of my all time favorite 'royd LP's!
7.1? How does anyone inflict this song on a friend and sleep at night?

Guilty as charged. This was great, but it gets an 8 on my scale. Like another listener said, Floyd's best stuff was from Meddle on.
I rememember this when it was NEW !
This is good music for serious grieving. Bombastic? Certain moments call for that. YMMV...
Pink Floyd didn\'t really get their shit together until Meddle. This is garbage.
one trip to the symphony will expose this ruse. Fake. dot
my friend thats a pile of sh*te. Unless your wife is a stiff.
Awesome! Love it!
No, really KAW. First dance as man and wife. We cut the cake to Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music.
i like it...just not here at work...If i were ion the other side of the planet right now (in every sense) definitely!

I believe that Webman found the bong that Kirkarachi was looking for earlier. Pass it my way if you would. Floyd always seems better that way for some reason to me. :p

Did L. Ron Hubbard show up too? :??:
I Like PF, but in this case, as I say to our dog who barks too much, \"ENOUGH, PLEASE\"

Well i have to disagree with that. Pink Floyd had some great music, but this sounds like a funeral dirge.
Where\'s the part where the choir starts singing \"fa fa fa funky ... dung!\"? I know its here somewhere...

You have to be a pretty big PF fan to get into this one.
At the time this might as well be classified under modern classical music, though it drew a much larger audience!
Nice to hear that one again. Certainly, never to be heard on Top-40. Thanks!!!
Dude, where\'s my bong?

It's Pink Floyd: If I have to explain it, you wouldn't understand. ;) :p :D
jeez this is annoying
Gotta go -- this song is scaring my cat.
Wow. It only takes them 24 minutes to disappear up their own arseholes.
What is this? It just goes on and on and on .... infinity and beyond.
Yeah ! Love that ! Again and Again... Thank you Bill
