I want you to know
He's not coming back
Look into my eyes
I'm not coming back

So knives out
Catch the mouse
Don't look down
Shove it in your mouth

If you'd been a dog
They would've drowned you at birth
Look into my eyes
It's the only way you'll know I'm telling the truth

So knives out
Cook him up
Squash his head
Put him in the pot

I want you to know
He's not coming back
He's bloated and frozen
Still there's no point in letting it go to waste

So knives out
Catch the mouse
Squash his head
Put him in the pot

All of the haters posted here in the comments and all of the enthusiasts quietly rated it an 8, 9 or 10.

...and yet, the vast majority voted this song a 7, 8 or 9! I'm no Radiohead fan, but I think this is a fantastic, haunting tune!
gosh I hate the whiney, droning-on sound of Radiohead.  If they were an animal on a farm they would shoot it to put it (and us) out of our misery.

Thom's a bit like Marmite - love or hate. Personally, I think Radiohead are pretty f**kin awesome.
Music from your very soul, for your very soul.
Spare my poor ears! {#Eyes}
Pretty flawless...{#Cheers}
Dammit!  That shit's so out of tune, and always will be!  (... and he's still whining).
ugh, what an awful song, made me want to turn down RP.

Reading the comments below, it strikes me yet again what a curious thing taste is. I haven't heard this in years and it really hit a sweet spot. What a sublime piece of music. (To my ears...)

All the haters. See them live. I have seen them 6 times. They are easily the best live band in the world.

Their emotional power and the tightness and incredible rhythmic flow is breathtaking. Thom's voice singing over the band is hypnotic. He is fearless. Try sustaing the types of notes he does for meaures at a time.

Couldn't agree more...
sorry RH diehards, I simply will never get used to much less like Yorke's adenoidal off key whining. I don't much care if his lyrics are spot on. Let someone with a alluring voice do the translation.
Almost every Radiohead song bugs me - definitely Mr Yorke's singing is part of it, but they just seem self-indulgent.
nagging song.

For the love of God, Montresor!  Everything bad about Thom Yorke's vocals, packed in to one unpleasant little ditty - Yeeesh!
I totally don't "get" Radiohead.  But I have loved this song since it first came out.
beautiful imagery, smart music, thank you

I've told you like a million times not to exaggerate :o)

Their best CD, IMO.

Love me some Radhiohead but this stinks.

So much of Radiohead I love.  Then sometimes I reach my limit of how utterly dark their melodies and lyrics can be.  I love their musicianship and originality, but I can't always follow their music because I just don't think the universe is that malevolent.  Here are the lyrics for this song:

Thanks for that. Now I REALLY don't care for this song.

It should have been titled "Knives In", because that's what I feel like ramming in my gut right now while Yorke whines on...

So, I read the lyrics.  They're depressing and sophomoric.

Prototypical Radiohead.

Equal parts redundant and oxymoronic.

I just don't see where the moan and drone melody or appeal is with this song. I know on some tracks they have great guitar work, but this sounds like a wailing/ailing depression of grief. Yep, get your knife out.......

....and people hate Morrissey, sheesh!
The more Radiohead I hear, the more I like them. Here's another album to add to my list.

This song is great. People should stretch their ears a little. Every song these days needs C-major 4/4 and a nice photoshop girl/boy to sing it in.
I was so up for seeing them last month and wound up getting soaked in a huge rain storm. The show was great but I just couldn't enjoy them in those conditions.

Screw the haters. Radiohead is fantastic, and this entire album was a breath of fresh air in a world of four-chords and 4/4 predictability.
Zactly.
God, this is awful.
is my da** cat in heat again?

This is not too good. His voice is almost in key!!
Oh, Thom why don't you wanna sing again in the right keys??!!!
I see the "red staters" have had their knives out, although judging from the rating, they are in the minority (again). Screw the haters. Radiohead is fantastic, and this entire album was a breath of fresh air in a world of four-chords and 4/4 predictability.

There's timpani here?
Sorry, but I don't link Radiohead after the OK Computer album.
the first line is: Ah wan chew da no.....
This is not too good. His voice is almost in key!!
Painful, like everything this band does. I especially get tired of their reliance on the timpanic beat. It's like someone pounding directly on my eardrum.
Great. I get to use my rarely invoked 3 score!
blowin the dust off this one, eh? this is one of my favorite tunes off this album. :)
go, bassman
Radiohead have revealed little details about the new album to be released in 2006. I have written a couple of articles, including an mp3 of "Arpeggi" and video link for "House of Cards." (click here) (click here)
