Ooh, hoo
Ooh, hoo
Ooh, hoo
Ooh

And in the end we shall achieve in time
The thing they call divine
And all the stars will smile, for me
When all is well and well is all for all
And forever after
Maybe in the meantime wait and see-yeah

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

And when I cry for me I cry for you
With tears of holy joy
For all the days of still to come
And did I ever say I'd never play
Or fly toward the sun
Maybe in the meantime something's sung

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

That sounds fine so I'll see you sometime
Give my love to the future of a-humankind
Okay, okay, it's not okay
Ooh while it's on my mind there's a girl that fits the crime
For a future love dream, that I'm still to find
But in the meantime

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you-yeah

Love the all the all of you
Lands are green and skies are blue

Just like you
We're just like you
We're just like, we're just like
Just like you
Just like you
We're just like you
We're just like, just like
Just like you

Love this band - proper fun rock music.
+1 for a cool band name.
Parking space hog
Saw Royston Langdon live open up for someone about a year ago.
He did an awesome version of this tune.
Of course, not many in the audience knew what the he was doing
but I sure as hell did!!!!

How's Megan nowadays?
Oh the memories... thank you Bill...
YaY !! Thanks for playing this! I love it and the great times it reminds me of.
This song reminds me of 'ZX Dan' by the Radio Rats (South African band from years back)

Yeah, when the son started I got all excited that it was PCO. Love that band.
We used to call fat guys that were stoners, Spacehogs
is the intro to this track the same as penguin cafe's "telephone and rubber band"?

Okay, okay, its just okay...

Mungo City got a good bit of airplay for a while.

Good tune! But, not a great tune.
Very Flea-like groooooovy bass.

Sounds very much like Collective  Soul.

Is that a sample from "Telephone and Rubber Band," by Penguin Cafe Orchestra?

hah. for the longest time i thought it was "the love beyond you"
I was trying to recall this song  months ago to my friend and I could barely sing two notes of it asking her what it was.   She got it  - like a stellar "name that tune" contestant with a shitty band.  Now I know it until I forget the title again.

This track always disappoints because I think it's going to be Telephone and Rubber Band :(

It's such a little thing, but I love the bit of guitar feedback before the second chorus so much.
Love this tune.
Far out pork chops.

British Telecom System "ringing" tone.  Same one used in "Telephone Line" by ELO.  Actually, ELO use a Moog to synthesize the tones after calling numbers in England.

One of the best songs of the 1990s.  Too bad that this was just a one-hit wonder for the band.  Many memories of driving home in fall 1996 in a college town hearing this on the radio.
My ears go right to that baseline. Nice{#Bounce}

Sooo good.  Was a nice break from so much of the drivel that otherwise hit the airwaves at the time.
Like a fookin' rock stahhhhh!
I always liked this song... sounded Bowie-esque to me...
Used to LOVE this song...hard to believe it's been 20 years...seems like just yesterday.  Not sure it is a welcome sound to my ears.  I'm mostly over my grunge love cept for Eddie Vetter.
Oh Yeah {#Dancingbanana_2} This can only be listened to at hi volume.
I made the mistake of buying this album way back when.
{#Stop}{#Frustrated}
Man, I used to hate this song when it came on my alternative station (93.7 The Edge of Minneapolis) but now it's a welcome sound that takes me back to the late 90's.
i liked a lot of the music in the 90's
it seemed fresh and somewhat new

Thanks for the contemporary definition. There's also this one:

awful (adj.)
c. 1300, agheful "worthy of respect or fear," from aghe, an earlier form of awe (n.), + -ful. The Old English word was egefull. Weakened sense "very bad" is from 1809; weakened sense of "exceedingly" is by 1818.

I'm not sure if either definition fits this tune.

Best tune by the worst band band name ever.
makes me think of my to-do list.

Glad they had their priorities straight! {#Wink}

Twas a young Jonny Cragg that stopped killing those rats.  Got to know him in his post-Spacehog, pre- Spacehog reunion band, the Twenty Two's.

Not a band tune, but I don't hear that "howling" which you described, but perhaps if you had written "castrated coyotes caterwauling"...
Down to a 6 from a 7.  Hmm?

It's surprisingly good and was a nice addition to 2013's music.  If I didn't have such dismal LRC/Upload luck, I might try to upload a couple tracks to RP.  Check out Oh, Dinosaur and I Wish You Well.

Oh, are you starting a megachurch too?

The beginning of this ditty reminds me of Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
I can be the bass player crunching heavy notes with a stack of Ampegs (or whatever's fashionable this days) during the chorus, then stepping on a button or two to hit the melodic verse counterpoint, then back to the deep head-nod as my ribs vibrate with those Ampeg cones ...
woah high school flashbacks. i bet the cash haters a few songs ago appreciate it tho.
The new Spacehog album received 3 stars in Rolling Stone.
That tune didn't sound fine in its time, now even less.
Nice!
Wow, thought I left the my FM radio on by mistake

The boys sure did like them some Bowie.  Here's to the former son-in-law of Steven Tyler. And the former drummer for The Twenty Twos.
more recycling of bad 80s junk.

Great song.  Reminds me of some good times.
Every now and then, a song played on RP makes me want to lift the guitar and figure out how these guys came up with such a gem.

This song is best played loud.

Agree {#Arrowd}
i really wanted these guys to be great but unfortunately, i found the rest of the album pretty underwhelming.

I bought the album.   You're right.

When I first heard this song, I thought: "this sounds like radiohead" (back then 'the bends' was the new release) and "they stole the opening riff from 'telephone and rubber band' by Penguin Cafe Orchestra.

Unfortunately, after giving Spacehog plenty of time to show their true colors, they have proven to be a "one-hit wonder" group.

edit:  I just read the rest of the comments, and realize that I have nothing original to say, except to recommend the Penguin Cafe Orchestra to anyone who may be browsing the RP comments section.  Check out "The sound of someone who is going away and it doesn't matter."

Yes! I don't know that I have heard this song since high school over a decade ago. So many good memories tied to random little radio tid-bits that scatter across our lives. Funny how all those old days come rushing in the door from the intro alone.

Diggin' that bass line! {#Bananajam}

This song always improves my mood.

That very last swelling note makes me think it's about to segue into Yes - Roundabout.

Bill, is this possible to do?

wow, they are playing this song!!!

I know the lead singer (Royston) plays with Unisex Salon.  (he isn't lead in that band though)

Corpus Christi, TX, 1995.  This song's on the radio during my drive in to flight school for one of my first fam flights in the T-34.  As I take off, those dial tones are on repeat <all> in my mind.  I'm thinking to myself, "oh no, not another one of those songs that gets stuck in my head and I hate it the rest of my life." Interestingly, the tune smooths out the entire flight, and I've liked it ever since.
