All I want is something good
It gets harder every time
She is leaving here tonight
Take a breath, take your time
Spread your wings and rise

Make a mark upon the wall
Paint your face and pass the time
Close your eyes and she ascends
Hold your breath and ease your mind
Forty thousand times
Time faded into the night

They descend and then they climb
Feathers falling through the night
Have you seen Ohio rise?
It has been four days and nights

All I want is something fine
It gets harder every time
She is sleeping far away
Take a breath, take your time
Spread your wings and rise
Rise through the black Ohio skies

They descend and then they climb
Feathers falling through the night
Have you seen Ohio rise?
It has been four days and nights, nights

"To each his/her own..." As for this one, I own it 'cause I just bought it through RP 'cause I was out of the country when it was released. Counting Crows rock: Awesome tunes, awesome lyrics. Great to have ponied this one up with some Toad The Wet Sprocket, Bill. :sunny.gif:
Wow - Counting Crows is as divisive as The Smiths...and I don't care for either one of them...
I Like so much
I tried to listen to one of their live albums once - it was a double album I think - I didn't make it. I tried.

Yeah, really...I don't get it sometimes, maybe it's more of a vocal minority and everyone else just sings along and doesn't comment...but I have yet to not enjoy a CC album.

i'm with you!!!!!!!!!
The voice of Adam Duritz... Musical Marmite. Put me down for the love it camp, to hell with the nay-sayers.
Hooray for the mute button and bathroom breaks!! :D
The Counting Crows appeared on Late Show with David Letterman a number of years ago. They performed "Round Here" I never gave them much listen until then, but now I'm a fan. It was unbelivable. It was the same night Madonna was on with her potty mouth. I've been looking for a copy of that song ever since... all to no avail. Oh well, maybe it will be on the next Letteman music CD.

Yes! Damn the nay-sayers! That's why god made mute buttons and bathroom breaks. WHOA! When did Roger McGuinn join the band? Forgot about that Byrds-ian guitar lick.

ME! I love this song!!
The worst ripoff of REM that I\'ve ever heard.
Love that fuzz tone too. In fact, it makes me laugh a bit, \'cause in a kinda smooth song, like this, it sounds like a \'sabotage guitar\'.
