Don't take her for granted, she has a hard time
Don't misunderstand her or play with her mind
Treat her so gently, it will pay you in time
You've got to know she's the sensitive kind

Tell her you love her, each and every night
And you will discover she will treat you right
If you believe, I know you will find
There ain't nothing like the sensitive kind

She gets lonely waiting for you
You are the only thing to help her through
Don't take her for granted, she has a hard time
You've got to know she's the sensitive kind

Just like JJ's music...you never forget when you tasted it first

I was a young American man living in Lyon, France. During a job interview, the much more mature French man offered me a cigarette (he was smoking). Wanting to be game, and being a smoker at the time, I accepted. He lit my filterless Gitanes for me and I inhaled ... and almost choked to death. I did not get the job. I don't think I ever smoked another.

Coffee and Gitanes in Paris created some deep conversations in times past.
Whomever ran the radio station at my high school before I took over as station manager, had great taste... JJ Cale, Papa John Creech, and so much more... I just had to look at the condition of the album covers to choose an obscure track and amazing talent...

Got that Mark Knopfler Communique vibe going strong here. Surprised to see it was released several years afterwards.

A John Mayall original, also covered by Santana on the Zebop! album.
man this shit is good.... how I'd wish to live in RP minded community...
Turns out I have been a J.J. Cale fan for longer than I knew J.J. existed.
So much wonderful music recorded by so many artists.
Only later in life, did I come to recognize and/or become aware of the genius and talent of the source: The truly legendary J.J. Cale. Thank you RP for your role in the introductions!!

Quite unlike the other J.J. Cale songs.

I thought it was Cohen at first
Almost a "wall of sound" feel to the production of this tune with the strings, horns and vibraphone (sp).
Grooving
Quite unlike the other J.J. Cale songs.
