(Live - Waiting for Columbus)

Well I was buffalo-ed in Buffalo
And I was entertained in Houston
New York, New York you gotta choose one

It's a tripe face boogie
Going to boogie my sneakers away yeah yeah

Well I, I don't want your money
And I don't want your time,
Please don't jive me Honey
And I'll give you, give you back your dime

It's a hype face boogie
Going to boogie my sneakers away yeah

I don't dig potato chips
And I can't take torts (?)
Got to tripe my guacamole baby
It's quackers and tripe my sauce

It's a hype face boogie
Going to boogie my scruples away yeah
Hype boogie, hype boogie
All night long...

(Solos)

You bring your guitar
I'll bring the wine
Gonna tripe my guacamole baby
Just a one more time

It's a hype face boogie
And I say 'lookout'!

That is one trippy album cover.
Waiting for Columbus.....best live recording ever. Tower of Power horns!

If I ate a bowl of that shit I'd be looking for somewhere to vomit.

I agree. Doesn't seem possible. Either Wikipedia is wrong or I need to re-assess my entire teenage/early 20's timeline. I know that I was there, just not sure when  "there" was anymore.

Tripe...another word for chitlins...hog intestines. If you eat too much, you get "tripe face" and then you have to boogie.

Funny. My Mum always called ugly people 'tripe faced'.

Sometimes a group's Live Album is the best. Waiting For Columbus is so good.

All FEATS are good!
Oh Hell YES
Live version please.  With Dixie Chicken.

This version is the genesis, followed by the live in studio version on Feets Don't fail Me Now, followed by the live on stage version on Waiting For Columbus.

Every version GREAT!
After hearing this, maybe Gogol Bordello had some artistic merit after all.
If you haven't heard this on Waiting for Columbus, you haven't lived.

I totally missed the whole Little Feat thing back in the day - never heard them until Robert Palmer did Sailing Shoes/ Sneaking Sally through the Alley.

Luckily, they are so timeless, that I can love their albums like they just came out.  Good Stuff!

awesome with or without palmer. i love palmer, too.

I have tons of Little Feat in my album collection but had forgotten how good they were until RP played them. Bought my fav's on iTunes and blast them to the neighbors now. Apparently one of them doesn't like Little Feat. Yet!
Swing...Lowell....... Radio Paradise was in the background,...but Lowell....... long ago i saw you in THE NETHERLANDS you are still swinging boogie !!!!

For sure one of the best live bands I've ever seen (LG version).  Rated 6.8 on this date.  Weird.

much better tracks on this album but this is still a good one....

Can't Stop My Feet!!!!!!!
I'm old enough to have heard and loved the Lowell George version of this band, but you know?  The Year 2010 incarnation (bald, grey, and chubby last fall at the Variety Playhouse) still managed to boogie my sneakers away.  They're high-quality musicians that really enjoy what they do!
Hah - I was humming this earlier today, along with "Teenaged Nervous Breakdown."

easy 8!
god dam!
Super great album, band, song!  I don't think this is a live version of the song ezzyme, and this song is on this (Sailin' Shoes) album.
Going to cue this album up, haven't listened to it for awhile.
Having just realised that this is in fact boogie, I would like to offer a shamefaced apology to all those of you who do have a clue what the words at the top of the screen say.
I haven't heard ragtime in ages. A very nice change. Must dig out some Joplin to play.
Uuuhhhh, I don't think this live version is on Sailin Shoes. But all early Little Feat is a tasty treat.
Awesome tune! Even better on the live Feats Don't Fail Me Now :D
