I couldn't agree more. Perhaps he is having early stages of dementia.

I wouldn't blame his bigotry on dementia.
I would've preferred to hear Motherless Children off his 461 Ocean Boulevard album. This tune has a weird syncopation that never seems to work for me.
"I think Enoch’s right, I think we should send them all back. Stop Britain from becoming a black colony. Get the foreigners out," Clapton said from the stage. "England is for white people, man. We are a white country. ... This is Great Britain, a white country. What is happening to us, for f---’s sake?"

-Eric Clapton, 1976 Concert
Thanks for keeping Eric AND Neil and Joni all in the rotation. ❤️

A lot of motherless children during these troubling times... wish Eric Clapton's anti-vax crusade weren't making things worse. His past and present views continue to cause me to lose respect for him as a person. Great artist though.

I got tired of him around the time he made the shameless and maudlin "Tears in Heaven" and starting selling tunes to beer advertisers.  He went the route of Elton John.

The world is full of excellent musicians, most of whom will never find fame.

Fantastic. The Homeless Child/Motherless Chile segue is an obvious and fitting one. I love this song, and Clapton plays it straight: a nice and easy tune.

Even better segue, 15 years later: Beck's Jack-Ass to anything by Clapton.

Great musician, but that's about it.

Not my favorite song on this album... but not the one I like the least.
Clapton strumming a 12 string. Nice!!!
Eric does Nawlins.
