all 5 are gone now.
Evo has a vet appt. this afternoon
Corsica and her kittens are doing great! she is now letting shelly handle the kittens without too much fuss.

The boys handle it pretty well. Of course the vets (all women) spend a lot of time giving lovins with soothing talk and gentle hands. Kitties don't much like the carriers, though. They're also used to lots of company in the house and the occasional extra dog, and we can see their confidence growing all the time. Bottom line? We're lucky.

Yes, with how some cats are traumatized by vet visits...I would love for there to be a lot more of those types of in-home vets. How I wish Ceili's last visit could've been at home. What a yucky last hour of her life being handled by strangers (which she hated) under bright lights.

Miss Annabel is totally vet-phobic now, since the last time we took her and she freaked out completely.  It was time for her check up, so R_D took her today, and it was no better.  They had to sedate her to get her out of the carrier ($80 JUST for the sedation).  My poor, scared girl.  Guess we need to find a vet who does house calls for future needs....

That's what I was just thinking....and how amazing he survived all those weeks after.
