Nice voice!
Check out their first lp , much much better than this. A 2 for an otherwise excellent band...
Really mixed feelings on this one. The lyrics are ... ummm ... terrible. The sound is kind of engaging. But I think if I hear it a 2nd time, I may hate it. Maybe I'm just freaked out by her "man hands" on the CD cover.

Hmm. I thought it was that airhead "Hollaback Girl" blond from whatsitsname band.

Actually, the song is probably fine... I just have a strong revulsion to almost all female singers... especially ones that sound like this. Makes my skin crawl! Anyone else out there have this problem?
Same here.
I have great taste and I think it is a great song and she sounds amazing.

Not their best, but good. Oh, and Carol van Dyk is hot...

I'd have guessed Shivaree too. Not bad though; worth hearing from time to time.

Nice subtle, simple song. Quite good. jah_blessed wrote:

Aha, but those artists didn't make this song. Maybe you should grant them permission. Maybe they aren't original enough.

Hey, the Netherlands pride and joy :) Shame Dutch radio only plays it in the middle of the night
Maybe, but if you go shopping in the Netherlands you're guaranteed to hear it at least five times! And hearing everyone around you singing it to themselves definitely makes it more fun...
I agree with Dianyla, I thought it was Shivaree for a sec... but good either way!
Not so much her voice, but this song has shades of Shivaree "Close my eyes"...

I was thinking all those... I'm not alone in the world after all!

It's got a nice beat and it's fun to dance to. ;)
Hearing this tune more makes me dislike it more. Down to 3 now. I like the sound, but the lyrics are embarassing.
RP is drawing parallels to commercial radio with repeats like this.
a great dutch band bettie serveert
Heh, I thought it was Poe...
I thought it was Sheryl Crow, but more of a pop sound. I like Sheryl Crow, too, but that was a better tune in terms of lyrics and instrumentation than I've heard from Sheryl recently.
Has some elements of Lalo Schifrin compositions.

At first I thought it was Debbie Harry . . .
Looked up immediately! Thought this was Gwen Stefani...of course hearing the lyrics (lyrics addict I am)....thumbs up! :nodhead:
it's ok... and far much better than Björk
I like it ! perhaps a little forced but its ok.....
