Actually, that's a chorus effect on the guitar, not an untuned guitar. Therein lies the difference between Smiths fan and layman. As for the caterwauling, er, um, how 'bout those mets?
I don't get it...how does the fact that someone recognizes that the guitar is played through a chorus device make them a Smiths fan? I'm no layman. I've played a guitar through a chorus since they were first introduced, but that doesn't change my opinion about the Smiths. (I have nothing against the Smiths per se, but Morrisey can stink up a room just thinking about walking in, IMO.)
The live version of this is pretty poor compared to the studio version (The World Won't Listen for example).

Maybe not so philospophical, just "who cares about anything important, I just want to feel good now". Actually sounds dismal to me - musically and lyrically. Just a litlle nihilistic.

In some ways I can understand why people don't like The Smiths and Morrissey, as I felt like that until about a year and a half ago when something just clicked. I'm all too happy to hear them now!
I understand that if you keep banging your head against a brick wall, eventually something just clicks, and you get to like that, too ">

Yep, THIS is why I've never cared for Morrissey and The Smiths. Could someone PLEASE tune that guitar? And stop that caterwauling. Sorry, just not any good in my opinion.

I love it when RadioParadise goes from not so enjoyable sets, to utterly amazing ones. in fact, i like it better that way.

"There is no debate, no debate, no debate How can you conciously contemplate When there’s no debate, no debate ?" I like it!
