Correct on both points. According to their Homepage, they come from Bad Tölz in Bavaria, and they got their name from a short story from J.D. Sallinger "A perfect Day for Bananafish" which was also the name of the Cure song. I still don't like this song :P

The lead singer is sounding a ton like whassisname from the B-52's. I keep hearing echos of it. Sort of interesting though. Dont know if it has long staying power though. Gets repetitive...

This song has been used as background music to some really poor movie advertising. For that reason, and the fact that I don't think it is worthy of the RP Playlist, I wouldn't mind not hearing it again. <-(
