Upon the grass hill
A man stands so silent and still
The picture's unclear
The view is much farther than here

How can this be?
Our lives will change
It's all we ever knew
And at the end of our days
We sit and wait

Sidewalk preachers eat their meat on the Sunday morning paper
Land mines make it hard to walk in straight lines

All of the day
Spent counting in ways to get by
Into the night
We sleep to survive

How can this be?
Our lives will change
It's all we ever knew
And at the end of our days
We sit and wait
For things to return

I saw them perform as the opening act for the Decemberists, and they were awesome. Most of the songs on the album are great.

I saw them open for Radiohead a month or so ago in Atlanta. They played a good bit of the CD/album that came after this one. Liked those songs as well. Definitely need to check them out further.
Not digging this.  The vocal is uninspired.

He really only has one shed, but he's thinking of getting another one.

Soothing - the perfect accompaniment to a rare sunny day in Northern Ireland

Just wonderful... relaxes the heart then tugs on its strings...

You must be a huge fan of Danny Elfman's score for The Nightmare Before Christmas. I am!

A very interesting song from a wonderful new band, at least to this listener.  full of subtle mood changes and modern lyrics interspersed with an older style of music.  bravo to this new sound.  give us more, please!!

Langorous, a lot like Andrew Bird - but good for that reason. More please!
This sounds modern and old together, but not bad!!
Beautiful song from the best album of the year.
