She said call me now, baby, and I'd come a-running
She said call me now, baby, and I'd come a-running
If you'd call me now, baby, I'd come a-running

I'm on call to be there
One and all, to be there
And when I fall to pieces
Lord, you know I'll be there waiting

To be there

I'm on call to be there
One and all to be there
And when I fall to pieces
Lord, you know I'll be there waiting

I'm gonna brawl, so be there
One for all, we'll be there
And when they fall to pieces
Lord, you know I'll be there laughing

I'd come a-running

To be there
To be there
I'm on call to be there
I'm on call to be there
I'm on call to be there
I'm on call to be there

Probably one of my most fave KOL songs.  Love the video as well.  Yeah, it's repetitive like someone else stated, but I esp. like the simple orchestration at the beginning which then slowly builds.
Never been one of my favorites from these guys (rated it a 7) but as you can tell from log in name, big fan of these guys...I think they've been unfairly attacked as of late because of the rise of their popularity in the US and massive radio airplay, etc but you know what? These guys are still writing some pretty damn good rock music, and although some of the last albums stuff is a little pop-flavored for me, at it's core it's still good music. The new CD, of which I have heard 6 songs, seems to reconnect a little more with the older style they were known for but regardless...a good band is a good band, and as long as they don't go the "Load" route like Metallica did and just completely suck I'm still gonna be a big fan.

Something about this group makes me think of defenestration.

I dunno, these guys just don't do it for me
Grateful Dead, Yo La Tengo, Wilco, Kings of Leon - f*ck me, that is one seriously dull set :(
Extremely repetitive - I could do without it. Not real fond of Kings of Leon, anyway, but different strokes for different folks! {#Mrgreen}
Like this band, but this song makes me feel like I'm getting my teeth drilled.

Great band...genuine and talented...what more can you ask?

Glad to see the high rating for this song. One of the most overlooked bands out there; love it!

Not overlooked these days - they're flavour of the year right now, with CDs in the charts, articles in the Press, TV appearances, etc. Good luck to 'em, though they surely don't rock my boat.

When you listen to this, pause to remember all the good garage bands who never got a record deal.
That's a great song, but a mighty funny reverb effect they've got going there. It goes and then just STOPS with no fade.  Weirds me out.

I'll gladly overlook these guys for yet a few albums. This stuff does not sit well in my ear canals. Bleh.

I saw them live and agree with bacampbe. I only like two of his songs... (This is one of them, by the way)

I really don't like anything I've heard from KoL. Their song writing bores me, and the singer grates on my nerves. I really don't understand how they get rated as well as they do.

I don't get this band, but I always know who is playing
Six months later I'm still diggin' it.  In fact I just bumped it a point to 8.  Something about this song seems to be reaching back to my '70s progressive roots....
They have their moments these guys but i don't think this is really one of them

Doubtful. . .

When is America going to discover The Kings of Leon?  They are a smash in the UK!  The only place I've heard them is on TV commercials (amusing ads, but enough is enough - they've done a few now).  LOVE THIS BAND!  More Kings of Leon, Bill!

Still feelin' the love for this one. . .

Good tune but there's better KoL out there.... Eg on the LRC (give it a thumbs up!)

pretty sure they already have especially with their appearance on SNL some 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Something stuck in your keyboard or are you just that desperate for the first post?

As for the tune...nice but repetitious.  Probably won't wear well.

Me too! This has been my favorite KoL song for months now. 10.

Love this song. . .

Finally, a Kings of Leon song that doesn't have to do with "She's having ma baby!"

This is actually pretty refreshing, I like it  on first listen.
