Locked inside your head
Do you realize the things you said never made sense?
We can sit here and laugh
But we don't know the half of it, in your defense
We've been talking a while
And it seems to me each time you smile, lights are coming on
But they don't burn too strong
And they won't stay for long, and then they're gone again

Funnyman, gotta plan, to be something wonderful
Funnyman, listening, to the world turn in on itself
Tuning in, to a brand new universe
Funnyman, could never be, anything, else

Do you remember the night
When I had to play your angel, saving your soul?
Even though you were holding on tight
Part of you was taken by your demons below
And with no more to lose
You said you feel like a bruise, on a beautiful body
And all the damage you do
Is so honest and true, I don't want to feel sorry for you

Funnyman, got a plan, to be something wonderful
Funnyman, listening, to the world turn in on itself
Tuning in, to a brand new universe
Funnyman, could never be, anything else

As a fan of her early work It took me a few listens to 'get' this album and what she was doing this time.  Something I like about her is her exploring and trying different things musically.  She is very talented in the triumvirate of musician, singer and songwriter.
Hey...it's Joan Jett!
Unfortunate album cover.

It's OK, Fred, I think she's 40.  That's probably olde enough for a geezer like you ... definitely old enough for a geezer like me.

no - it's about an old boyfriend of hers - Besides; it's too soon to make inane comments about Mr. Williams. cease & desist.

Saw her at Madison Square Garden a few years ago.  There were 5 or 6 bands that performed that night and the girls were raving about Michael Buble, but I only had eyes for KT.
LOVE THIS SONG......

Did you get past the title to make this assertion?  There is nothing in the lyrics that would bring you to this conclusion.

This cover art is just awesome. Just like the album itself. Once again RP made my day, making it easy to click on 'pay' :-)

Yeah, it is kinda hot isn't it?

This isn't a great song (IMO), but Sucko Barfo? Nah, it's better than that. And even if you don't like it, at least it's short. {#Wink}
I am digging this whole set:

KT Tunstall - Funnyman
Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
Supreme Beings of Leisure - Under The Gun
Dengue Fever - Uku

More, please. Happy Friday!
KT is really growing on me.
this is absolutely awful! sucko-barfo at it´s best..  embarrasing album cover, embarrasing music

I can't tell if those are CFM boots or ass kicking boots.

Ya know, I think I'd be up for either.

she has better songs, but i'm a big fan of hers. great songwriter, strong voice, easy on the ears and eyes. wish she would tour here...

Tomorrow night she'll be singing to this funny man live !   5/12/11   Wow, It was a great show.  One I won't soon forget.  She was captivating from start to finish..she even did a White Stripes cover using a kazoo that ROCKED.   By the way, her hair was lovely as well.

Aye, gallus like :o). Great song, great singer, great album, and a shame that she's become a bit too 'polished' with her newer CD. This is the best of her 3 albums, IMO - not a duff song on it, punchy instrumentals, bold strong vocals, and sheer oomph. 10 from the smitten Nottingham jury for the song, 9 for the album. And I just love a strong woman with a big instrument and kinky boots {#Hearteyes}

Notice how that guitar looks oversized? I don't think she is particularly small of stature. Maybe there's more to that album cover than first meets the eye..  is it intended to be taken entirely seriously?

Hey, she can walk over me with those boots any time :o). I do like KT, perhaps the finest thing to come out of Fife since the coal mines shut down ;-).

I just saw her in concert.  The first half was very good.  The 2nd half was pop music and very loud; I left early to save my ears as I didn't care for the predicable music.

Yes, this rocks!

A bit of a change from Pink Floyd, but I can manage it.  hehe

Okay, where I have been - it is A good song. I especially like the beginning, so powerful.

Boots could have been better indeed, something like these for example.

It's a really nice song. Since I listened this song for the first time I loved it, I get it and I'm listening the "funnyman" history every day.... It makes me feel ok :)

Actually, I'd be very happy if someone could find me a 'flat' (no heel raising) pair of boots like that for cheap...

KT Tunstall on going green Singer-songwriter KT Tunstall has become one of a growing number of performers who are making their concerts greener. klik the link above to watch a recent interview on Scottish Television about this ever pertinent issue. Good on ya KT!
Check out her duo with Keren Ann on My Sharona, on tv programme Taratata (youtube it). It rocked my socks.
I thought I would just cruise down to see how many people took out some very important time to respond to the Wisecrowe. Glad to see that RP and the vast majority of its listerners are hip and class-acts, unlike Dumbax! Crow. KT sounds pretty nice too! Um, how, exactly, do you know? Not, presumably, based on the cover art and badass boots, eh? :ask:
Wisecrowe wrote:
This chick sucks. Let's rate her low so she's stops getting play time.
Years of listening to RP have taught me that Bill plays what he wants, regardless of the rating that 200 people apply to it. This is a good thing, in my estimation. For reference, look up Shine On by James Blunt. I think it's rated in the mid 3's and 1 has a plurality of the vote, but it gets played from time to time. :fire:
What gets me about this song is the way they recoded the rhythm guitar. . .

Good, rocky sound, good voice, good song. Love it! A big 8.
The background ambience and her voice, especially in the intro (not to be misogynistic) sounds like a classic James Bond theme.
Easily my favorite of her tunes. Love it!
Wisecrowe wrote:

It's interesting that there are those, such as yourself, who think that this type of comment has any value at all. No, on the other hand, it is not interesting
My favorite album cover of 2007. I guess it's that kick ass bass she's wielding.
I really like the beginning of this tune. After it plays a while I get bored. But, I always click on the artist to see which album it is on. We have Telescope and will more than likely buy this one eventually. I'm going to hold off on rating it for awhile tho.

What do you base that on, besides opinion....? I'd like to know what your argument is before I jump on your bandwagon. So far I thought she was moderately good, but I'm willing to be swayed.
