I stopped tryin' to write the things I don't like
And I started goin' back to where I'd been before
She said "I don't blame you I'd do the same"
Opportunity knocks knocks knocks open the door
But I think she saw through it
I see through myself
Another chance gone, won't get many more

But I'm not the only guy I know that
I'm not the only guy I know that
You never notice
The only guy I know, well I'm not the only guy I know
That you never notice

I stopped tryin' to write the things I don't like
And I started goin' back to where I'd been before
She said "I don't blame you I'd do the same"
Opportunity knocks knocks knocks open the door
But I think she saw through it
I see through myself
Another chance gone, won't get many more

But that's not the only lie I told you
That's not the only lie I told you
You never notice
The only lie I told you, that's not the only lie I told you
You never notice
The only lie I told you, that's not the only lie I told you
You never notice

I can tell you're in denial, get over it
I can tell you're in denial, get over it
I can tell you're in denial, get over it
I can tell you're in denial

I'm not the only guy I know that you never notice

I gotta go with Boring and un original. Not too bad, but nothing that catches my attention

Dammit. I totally adore Girlshapedlovedrug - picked it out of the blue not knowing it was Gomez. But this, I picked up on that annoying song-stopping thing and thought, "Well this I don't like!" and it's the same freakin band and the same freakin album. Damn this dichotomy!
I'm with you on this one, dmax. Gomez is quite the enigma band with its multitude of sounds. In Our Gun is another example of the kind of identity crisis the band seems to relish. I've come to accept this quirk, skip past the tunes not from "the Gomez I like" and listen to the ones that are. Truth be told, it's a nice problem to have when so many artists seem stuck in a rut of one and only one sound. Decent tune for me...not entirely the Gomez I like.

And this is sucha great song too!!!! So what ya gonna do?
... This is one Amazing album, every track a winner! ... ...
Sweet song... sad song... I do like it.
I've pre ordered this disc...I sure hope the whole thing isn't comprised of more of this garden variety breathy skinny english guy stuff. I guess it's too much to hope for a repeat of "In Our Gun"'.
I'm impressed. Shows diversity, cause this sounds entirely different from previous Gomez
I like the Sonic Youth sound in those guitars..
potential next buy.
Very predictable chord progression and melody. Love Gomez's first three discs, but this is a bit of a disappointment.
