I wish they'd ditch the "leaping Super Mario Brother" sound effect. Then it would be a good song instead of a pretty good but annoying song.
With ya on that one. Reminds me of the opening scene of "Lion King", with the zebras barking. (Can you tell I have little kids?) P.S. I'd rather watch that movie than listen to this song again.
Using funny sounds doesn't make this song any less crappy.
Nice to hear The Helio Sequence on RP. This song is decent. They have much more interesting things on the Young Effectuals album.
Jump, Mario, jump! Grab the fruit for bonus points and power-ups!
Kinda Stereolab-ish. Harmonica notwithstanding.
You mean this isn't The Beta Band? It sounds just like them!

Yeah.....this is the first time I heard this and I think I would like this song alot but for that 'whoo-whoo' thing that keeps repeating. It is totally uncecessary...WHAT WERE THEY THINKING???
What do you mean?, It's the best arrangement in the song!!!!

The kithchen sinks in there, but it works for me.

I like it; it's catchy, and it makes this otherwise run-of-the-mill pop song worth listening to. rah wrote:
it's ok. a little busy, if you ask me -- like they should have just picked a genre and stuck with it, rather than try to cram it all into one song.
A place for everything, and everything in it's place, huh?

Agree. Somebody couldn't keep their finger off that one key.
You can *legally* download this song from the bands website HERE.

No, really, it's okay. I like it.
it's ok. a little busy, if you ask me -- like they should have just picked a genre and stuck with it, rather than try to cram it all into one song. also, it kind of reminds me of love n rockets for some reason.
heard this about a week ago and can't believe nobody commented on it. hurry up and play it again. I like it!
