All games they play
Undead and awake and returning within
You are a devil, they say
and its candy

how long I've known
this seed burst and grown
You're the one that I love
You are the one that I trust,
and its candy

When they speak of the open door
and the way you've flown, its fine
When they show me the evidence
and theyre talking down your memory

Nevermind the words they waste
They can't see you're mine
Waiting here until words run out
Dreaming of the day when you
open your arms in the light of our love

All games they play
Undead and awake and returning within
You are a devil they say
and its candy

how long I've known
this seed burst and grown
You're the one that I love
You are the one that I trust,
and its candy

Not sure if you got to see them but the original line up of SDRE toured last year (2009). They sounded really tight and played mostly the earlier material. They also re-released the first two albums with bonus material.

One of the most under-rated unknown bands of the 90's - thanks for playing!

I was not aware and now I'm bummed. I'll have to keep a better eye on that in case they tour again. Thanks for the info on the re-releases. I'm going to order now.

My only hope is they reunite for another tour, as they did several years ago, stopping in Atlanta. I was new to the band's music even though they'd broken up by then. It was one of those concerts that stay with you the rest of your life. I think even the band was surprised by the enthusiasm.

Ahhh, very nice. This band can rock pretty well too.

Sweet! Ramones followed Zeppelin and now Sunny Day Real Estate... thanks Bill!

my sentiments exactly. it's not necessarily representative of the sound that I usually associate with Sunny Day Real Estate... but it's excellent to hear it on RP anyway. let's hear more! something from Diary would seriously rock.
Agreed on hearing from Diary - this is quite nice as well...

Though I'd choose a different track, I have to say I'm very happy to hear the late lamented SDRE on RP.

Ha Ha Foo Fighter Suck!!!! Sunny Day Rules!!!!
sdre rocks. some of the band members (including the singer) went on to form a band called The Fire Theft. also very good. i saw them live a few years ago. very impressive.
happy to hear sdre :nodhead:
"Mmmmmm......The pasta and the penini.......Aurghhhhhhhh!!!"
Though I'd choose a different track, I have to say I'm very happy to hear the late lamented SDRE on RP. Thanks.
Wondered when they would arrive here. This band's long been a favorite of college radio and the like. I like the dreamy feel of this later cut.
Dude... this is sooo out of tune! Please, no more! :headshake:
