Not very often have we met
But the music's been too bad
Can only sense happiness
if the music is sad

So, I'm going home
I must hurry home
Where a life goes on

We're too old to make a mess
Dreams will keep me young
Old enough to stress
Only mirrors tell the time

So, I'm going home
I must hurry home
So will my life go on

Yes, I'm going home
Going home alone
And your life goes on

Thought it was Moby.
Tired, was this written by an AI?
Music from Sweden!
Why am I hearing 'Mandela Days' - has ripped off the tune, me wonders!!!

Not a terrible place to be....

That's what I heard also!
Jeez that piano's irritating.
I like it, but is that ‘T Rex’ guitar and a ‘T rex’ album cover intentional.
Happy birthday Sophie!
No woman, no cry.....
7 to rate - I need to hear it again ...

"Because the Hook brings you back..."   Sorry, this is more close to the Blues Traveler song than any other "sounds like."
I thought this was a Moby cover.

I prefer music sung in a dialect of ancient Sumerian and played on instruments made by a secret cult who interpreted ancient texts to create a musical mode humans can't hear.  That way I can sneeringly say, "A piano? That's so Gershwin".

Odd he'd use predictable English grammar to say that.
Классная песня и девушка тоже !!!
That intro though!
A contemporary of Katie Melua.

Both have a similar style that suits a certain mood - times for quiet contemplation and winding down after a long day.

{#Bananajam}{#War}
some weird nana mouskouri and the singing nun in there too
Wow.... Totally thought this was Bob Marley's  "No Woman No Cry" in the beginning... UhOh...
Never thought of it that way.  I was sort of impressed.

Wait...where is she going? I didn't get it....oh yeah...home....right. Good for her. {#Devil_pimp}
I love Sophie Zelmani.  I also think she sings beautifully.
Super quality voice, the music is fine enough, but would love to hear an a cappella rendition.
Great song, first one of hers I ever heard, prefer some of her other ones now though.

Ha! You're right, that's what I first thought it was going to be. Still I like the sound of it and think it's worth keeping in the lineup. {#Angel}

Wow.. great set here Bill. 7 for Sophie.

Be honest. ANYTHING is going to sound good after 5 months away. 3 at most.
Not one of her bests but okay, like Sophie
For some weird reason, I have Claudine Longet (Andy Williams' ex-wife) on my MP3 player singing "God Only Knows", and this reminded me of her voice.

Do with this what you will - and I know you will.
I thought it was Jewell.
good tune

Intriguing, but somewhat mediocre in a muzak sorta way... 5
This is Aimee Mann without all the sedatives and depression medication. It's Aimee Lite. I like it a lot.
If that were flying over the gulf of mexico, that would be nauseating from the stench of oil, so I take it you mean somewhere far far away from there

This is good. She has an intriguing voice, a slight distance from the song that gives it less shine than I expected. It gets more tense but rounded at the end. Very nice.
Don't let the door hit you...
Reminds me:  I think I'll upload Screaming In my Pillow by SSQ —- same ethereal, seductive kind of female voice, offset by much harder edged lyrics.

FWIW, I like this one.  Still trying to figure out why.

Totally inoffensive.  And dull.

"Yes I'm going home"

So go.

Not a bad little song, and yes, it is a pretty standard chord progression.  "Knocking On Heaven's Door", "Oh, Yoko", the aforementioned "No Woman No Cry" and I'm sure many others.  She wouldn't be the first artist to use traditional/folk chord arrangements.  Anyhow, the progression in this tune is different than that of the Marley song.

WOW, what a beauty!

She is good looking in real life, this picture does her no service.
The rather ugly makeup job and flat light makes her look pretty much like any other swedish girl coming in to town on fridays.
Do a google image search whydontcha. ;)

Get your hand outta your pants boys

Saw her two weeks ago... really nice. Love her music.
How about some Cajun music to chase this one?
Gotta love this! Seen her live once and it was really great.
if you would cut of the 'No women  No cry' part it would be worth a 7...
Anyone else think the verses sound just like Mandela Day, by Simple Minds?

Aside from that, I quite like this!

EDIT: I guess I should read the song comments first. This has been mentioned before.

haha it does sound like a bad " no woman no cry" at the start
OK, do all current female Swedish singers sound the same? This is WAY too similar to Lisa Ekdahl, only in English.

Her work is available on Amazon. You evidently didn't look too hard.
Oh yeah, I looked ... and saw the prices: upwards of $20 for each CD! I didn't necessarily want to buy 3 CDs to get the 3 or 4 songs I really like. Might, though.

Me too... when I absolutely have to hear her, I can find this one on youtube. I would love to have "Hard to Know" - so far, I haven't been able to clear the barrier that would allow me to order CD's on line or pay "import" prices

I saw her right here in Munich/Germany. She seemed to be there for the second time already given what she said during the gig. There wasn't much publicity though which might be the reason why few people hear about here playing in the area.
whispers Carla Bruni to me - 'Quelqu'un m'a dit' without the French accent.
I LOVE her voice!
