Not that I know of, although I'm not much of a seafood fan in general, so I'm guessing I wouldn't like eels much.  Especially if this had happened to me....https://www.cbsnews.com/news/7...

Long Live RP!!
This whole album is stellar.
Anything by Eels alright but this one, ah no.
Paradise plays more noise all the time.

I've had unagi (eel) donburi a couple of times. It was pretty good, but I just learned it's not a sustainable food, and it's not a cuisine I can't live without, so I'll probably skip it in the future.

apparently, this song works perfectly after almost anything, Bowie, Zep, Mr. Waits...

great set, Bill...Siouxie, The Orb, Bowie, and this...awesome!

Yes, nice segue from "Jockey Full of Bourbon".
Nice, after Bowie's scorcher, "Panic In Detroit." I dig how E takes that Bo Diddley beat and rides it like a bull at the rodeo. Wild number!
Perfect, coming after Tom Waits! One of the things I liked about seeing Mark E and the Eels live was their innate affinity for JAMMING!
The mighty Zep and then Souljacker ... Oh yeah, RP does know how to rock out!

Blastin' good stuff for a Friday afternoon...ROCK IT!

No need to keep Portland weird, it invented weird! Love it.

Well, THAT was flippant and oh-so-profound. I bow to your absolute insight and wisdom. When I grow up, I wanna be you.

Not. {#Roflol}
A complete ripoff.
Wow.  This reminds me of "Who Do You Love?" - only much better.  Dang. I want to hate Eels, but this song makes it impossible. Also makes it impossible to sit still...  Gotta go dance now...{#Dancingbanana}{#Bananasplit}
Got to love RP some times I think we are stuck in new world music or the talking heads hour or chick music and then Bill looses his mind and rocks out like a crazy fanatic!
Oh Yeah baby Oh yeah!{#Bananajam}

Right On! This does remind me a bit of their new one, "Fresh Blood" = > 9.

this tune wants me to find a kings of convenience fan and smash his guitar! Then say "sorry".
{#Guitarist}
oh yeah!
I hope this song doesn't put people off on the EELS.  For an EELS fan this is a great song because of the other songs.  It does have it's moments of irritation but give Mr. E a listen.  Yes the capitalization is from an EELS dork ;)
I really like the Eels, but please never play this song again.
YEAH, EELs just rocks! Solid fact.
yes sir, may I have another!
This is a rocker!!
{#Sunny}

Awesome; totally rocks. . .

Should've played the Eels "Whatever Happened to Soy Bomb" after that last Dylan tune.... {#Bananasplit}<—— Portnoy-nanna
No thanks.  {#No} Can't stand these talentless bozos.

Excellent song to end the day with!!! Thanks!!! {#Bananajam}

Bingo!
Love the Eels. Their recent best-of album, "Meet the Eels," is excellent.
Wher's Ronnie Hawkins when you need him?

Yeah, and call me nuts, but I was never crazy about them, either.

Take a little Muddy Waters,amp it up,and texture liberally. Makes numerous servings of good stuff.

This one will clean the cobwebs out of your head!
Serious music - no airy fairy pop tunes here!!
The dog on the album cover has quite the worried look. Can't blame him.

I'm trying to head off to bed... but my toes can't stop tappin!
:guitarist: :drummer: :motor:
Yeah. That bridge/ solo....Reminds me of when M.J.Fox does his guitar bit at the high school hop in Back To The Future. Everyone stops dancing and they stare at him like he was crazy or something. 'You might not like it now, but your kids are gonna love it' he says. Sorry. Still sounds awful.
psycho_therapist wrote:
Well, I was thinking it was just kinda Butthole Surferish - kinda cool, I guess. But then the bridge/solo kicked in, and WHOA... And then it ended. :cowboy:
Yeah, I can hear the Butthole Surfers too..... intense song, I can dig it!
YES.
Oh Yeah!
:dancingbanana_2:
What an annoying song! All fizz and no pop!

Name of group and name of album sound so intriguing. Sorry I had to be AFK!
I liked this better the first time. Must have been the three previous cuts clouding my hearing... demoted to a 4.
Play some Blasters please; then let's see what rocks. This is okay, but really derivative. That being said, even derivative rock is better than no rock.

Gotta love the Eels. This soge reminds me of The Mescaleros, or BRMC. Got my toes a-tappin' on a Monday afternoon - not an easy thing.

Damn good song! I have the CD, and the whole CD ROCKS! I am going to be picking up a lot more of Eels CDs in the near future. Amazing how FM radio overlooks such talent in favor of the new pop/industrial/metal/alternative flavor of the week. Thank you RP! Oh, and by the way: BUY THIS CD!

Oh, come on. Bo Diddley fer cryin' out loud. Sheesh. ;) And "ditty" doesn't really describe it. But yes, you're right.

;) uh-oh.. does this happen often?
Was working away with RP in the background, minding my own business, and this song came along and made me start-a-bopping. Righteous.
Bo Diddley never dies;-)
Raw Sound...Iggy Pop~ish... feet are moving and I don\'t know why! First time I\'ve heard this track/Band another reason to listen to RP
Love the Eels. Please play more of them!
Where was this tune when I was 17? Kicks Ass!!!
At last, RP makes me buy this album.
Is it me, or does this song appropriate the old Tom Rush ditty \"Who Do You Love?\" I mean, I thought it was a remake for awhile there.
ROCK ON! This rules! I like it more every time I hear it. OOOOOOOOOh Yeaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! :clap:
I had to wait \'til the song was over before I could put in a comment. While I\'m listening I can\'t type because I\'m so caught up in it. \"OH YEAH!\" :cool:
