It's dark in here
And visions are flashing into my head as I reminisce
My re-occuring dream
And you said
"I'm falling, falling for you Babe,
And my feelings are getting stronger
So why don't you stay with me for a, for a little longer?"

Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,

I know that my face
Is only too familiar to your sleep
I can see it in you eyes
And I can tell by your body
Why are you taking so long
Do you need me to come and find you, honey?
To set your mind at rest
And let your dreams run free

Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,

You know I'm no stranger in a dream
You know, I'm no stranger in a dream

Oh but I'm craving and counting
I'm begging and pleading
Be mine tonight, oh yeah
Well I'm waiting and dying
I'm wanting and waiting
To show you how much I care

Where I'll be touching and holding
Caressing and giving you
Every fantasy, yeah

I'll get you dreaming and lusting
And burning and crying
For more of this ecstacy, oh yeah

Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,
Come here boy,

You know, you know
I'm no stranger in your dreams

I really liked her voice (and this song) at first, but she's beginning to wear thin. I like the Frou Frou stuff too, but don't enjoy her vocal gymnastics anymore.
1st listen to her, very nice
for 5 seconds (in the begin of the song) i got scared thinking that i was listening Britney Spears ... still i didn't like much, sorry OScar
This was my first Imogen Heap song ... and it crossed divides and time zones like wings. It's sublime
Daughter of Uriah?
She sounds like the singer from The Cranberries. Just as awful.
sounds an awful lot like sinead o'connors debut

...Something about pathology...something about deep seated issues...someting about - oh, WAIT! Nuggler said it, so it's alright.
i really don't think she sounds anything like Tori. But this is my favorite Imogen song. Supposedly it's about a professor she had a crush on...
I bet people have been telling her her vocal style was too breathy and quirky all her life. I'm glad she stuck with it and developed into the artist she is--this kicks ass.

yawping.....now that's good! Does sound like Tori....
Sounds like a heap 'o shite to me...
Her voice is annoying.
haha the first thing I thought on hearing this was '...Tori, is that you?'
I think I'm in a minority when I say I prefer this album to "Speak for Yourself" and the stuff she's done with Frou Frou -- which is good, but just has failed to grab me in quite the same way.
wow... I think I like this as much as, if not more than, a lot of the FrouFrou stuff. Piano and real drums are good. :-) Gregorama wrote:
I'd have never heard of her or Frou Frou if it weren't for RP. I dig it. So what if not everybody likes it? You're not supposed to like EVERYTHING. That's what's good about RP being so eclectic.

Tori Amos ripoff?
Hearing this on my home PC is much more enjoyable than the tinny junk I have at work. Up to a 7 from my previous 4...
Well if I have to sit here and work away my sunday, not missing this song makes it a little more worth it.
Can't believe i missed this!

Here's how it went down: Saw you were playing this and I leapt for joy, because I loved this album when it first came out. Came to this page and saw how much everyone hates the song. At first I was sad and angry, but as I listened, I realized it wasn't quite the flawless masterpiece I remembered it to be. However, I'm disappointed in everyone saying they love Imogen's vocals with Frou Frou but are annoyed by them here. I mean, where do you think she developed her vocal style? The Cavern Pub? This is still pretty good! And I like it.
If it bends your ear in a good way, that really all that matters isn't it. I like the vocals.
Put me down in the catagory of those who wouldn't otherwise go for this type of stuff, but are somehow caught up by this particular tune... Tori Amos? Maybe she sounds a little like her, but thats the end of the comparison...

bleah!
Feh. Love almost everything from Frou Frou; dislike almost everything from Imogen heap.
This really sucks.
What is this? A new (poor) version of Tori Amos?
That's where you find the trash for Ron Howard's production Co. Oh, no. That's IMAGINE Heap...
Saw her live solo show in Portland before the FrouFrou incarnation. Late 90's or early 00's, I guess. She just grabbed you by the throat, her and the piano. Powerful. Give the whole CD a chance and the lyrics will pull you in. She has an elasticity in her voice and it IS varied enough that you might be surprised, and not so much annoyed.
not bad, i suppose.

Gee, something kinda compelling about the phrasing, that catchy gasping quality. Tempted to take her up on it. Way outta character for me.
Outta character for me, too. I like the gasping stuff in this song.

I had precisely the opposite reaction.

ditto, in all respects. heard Frou Frou first (here at RP, of course) and had learned of her previous work through the "Comments" but hadn't heard any. love it.......

Now that\'s what I\'m talking about !!! She is so awsome. The first time I heard her it was doing Rolling and Tumbl\'n. I actually pulled off the road to write down the artist information so I could get the CD and more of her stuff.

Sounds a hell of a lot like Tori Amos to me ears. Not to say its derivative, just that there's a likeness. For some reason, I can't stand the chorus of this song--the rest is fine, but that rest is, of course, rather little.

Her voice sounds like a cross between Sarah McLachlan and PJ Harvey.
the lead singer\'s voice reminds me of the Coctaeu Twins (sorry I can\'t recall how their name is spelled) Anyway.. nice sound.. better than average.. :) -T
Interesting proposition! ;)
