Well I could sleep forever
But it's of her I dream
If I could sleep forever
I could forget about everything
If I could sleep forever
If I could sleep forever
If I could sleep forever

Alright, dudes. Usually you happen. This seems like filler. It's a sleeping pill.
I like it somehow!{#Cheesygrin}
Sorry, not for me.  Seems boring and a bit pretentious.

Same chords as Alice in Chains- Down in a Hole. Leave to the Warhols to "borrow" from a good song.
Hummm..  Was hoping this was going somewhere, then I realized it was, going to put me to Sleep!!! Needs to be put into a night time song routine.. I know, night time where?
Nice tune…but is it going somewhere?  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…...
This song is a complete - and pleasant - surprise for me!

Simple but 10!!!!
I Haven't been to RP in months. Tuned in yesterday and it was Godless by the Dandy Warhols. I came back just now and lo, it's Sleep by the Dandy Warhols. I am perfectly ok with that.
another Dandys classic

Remember, Dandy is Handy...but s*x won't rot your teeth ;)
...what a boring loop!!... {#Rolleyes}
Wish I could.{#Drunk}
{#Sleep}
This is pretty.
Pretty annoying.
hypnotic repetition...dreamlike...
I'm smiling
Sleep Forever. Sign me up. I want to dream though!

... see thread below.

RP is great.  You guys crack me up.
Hypnotic.  Tonight, that's a good thing.
This album is definitely their opus work - outstanding! Must own if you like or want to get into DHs

I recall many a dreary night where my only hope was to fall asleep, hoping against hope that it would last forever...
Beautiful. I love this band. {#Sunny}
My teenage son's theme song.

Hate to say that I agree. I like DW, but this doesn't work for me. The slight phase or chorus effect on the keyboard is slightly annoying to me.
What a great Album.

The first time I heard this, it was called "Down in the hole", by Alice in Chains. Sounds good though.
Fantastic album...
{#Yes}   I wake to sleep and take my waking slow.

Down in the hole. Losing control
Cool transition from L. Williams - Are You Down.....very niiiice!  This song is sublime!
This album reminds of a month long trip travelling the West Coast. When i got to Portland there were posters advertising a gig in a couple of days time. I extended my stay in Portland just to see them.

Only really knew them from Bohemian Like You but they were so good. From them i then got into James Town Massacre (past group of some members) which i don't think we will hear on RP.

touches that deepest core of sorrow
Trippy and just what I needed now. These guys are good.
OK, enough already. I get it.
I remember first hearing this cd at the listening bar at Tower Records.

Picked it up and loved it.

Still do.
the kings of the 4-chord stomp
Stunning song. The Dandies' finest 6 minutes IMO.

No, hypnotic as in delicious.  Warhols are one of my fave heavy-on-the-production bands.

Hypnotic- If by hypnotic, you mean stupefyingly boring! Snoozerama!

I have it on my iPod and did so a couple of nights ago on the way home. When you're taking a subway to a bus to a park'n'ride, making the quotidian transition from urbs to suburbs, a vast work like Thirteen Tales... grounds you in a way that it anneals you to the numbing effect of long, dreary, managed commutes. Truth be told, virtually any good rock'n'roll can do that, but Thirteen Tales... is especially effective.

I know other songs from this album ... nice suprise! {#Sunny}
I suddenly have an urge to listen to this album...
Nice.  I especially appreciate that they didn't use the evil autotune on the "arpeggiated" vocal outro.  Being largely human myself, I enjoy listening to humans sing.  On this point I find my opinion differing from that of the borg.
love the Dandy Warhols so much... Always capable of reinventing themselves. This song is to turn you stone! Bliss...

Oh sure, any chance to use the word "arpeggiated"! {#Wink}
Forgot to say: I really have liked everything I have heard from DW.

I know I'm one of them. It's okay if you make posts in regular, black font, and only use capital letters at the beginning of sentences and proper nouns, people will read your posts. Maybe more people than read your posts now.

Crash Test Dummies...? This is TOTALLY redicolous! There are worlds, lightyears and milky-ways between the great-great "Warhols" and those old men called "Dummies". Sufjan Stevens - yes, I can subscribe to this! The song "SLEEP" is rather simple, true, but has certain magical powers. What was Jonny Depp smoking as Sherlock Holmes...? That is the inviroment this song was made in (I guess) and should be heard in - I say! Sleeeeeeep.... STINGRAY

Neat insight. I hadn't considered trance and the Warhols together. On a certain level, it makes sense.

RP is genius at juxtapositioning songs - Porcupine Tree "Sleep Together", then this one ..... Gives me the warm fuzzies

Yep. Too bad none of the rockers from this album are on RP's playlist. This is an incredible record.
This is worlds away from "Bohemian Like You." I like both songs, but for different reasons.
I hear Crash Test Dummies.....
Is anyone else hearing Crash Test Dummies with the background vocals?!?
Pretty Good song!

Again a solid 9.

Very nice, but not something for my "wake up" playlist.

Decent song, but compressed below RP's acceptable rate. You can hear the compression artifacts.

I so love this album!
Trying to stay awake after staying up too late last night and coming in to work 2 hours early this morning, I did not need to hear this right now. I love this song though, and this is an awesome CD.
Really only got into the Warhols over the last couple of years. This is a great album. As said below best heard within the whole album.
This song is not helping motivate me on a post-long weekend Monday.
