Door is real
Felt it out on the streets at night
People talkin' like they don't know themselves
From wrong and right
Holy water was floodin' the towns
Every man, woman and child
Guess I got nothing left to prove
Saw you hangin' around for awhile
'Cause we were lost in the darkness
Waitin' for the light to come back, take us home
Don't wanna feel restless
Baby, I'm not lookin' for trouble
'Cause I can't keep on holding on to you
Just because you want me to
And I can't keep on holding on to you
But I don't what I'm supposed to do
Without you
Time is sacred
It's the only thing we really have to lose
To empty canyons stretched out into the wilderness
Elder moon
Tin goths will know
We'll make some mad change
Could it be the helplessness
Or someone else's pain?
'Cause we were lost in the darkness
Waiting for the light to come back, take us home
Don't wanna feel restless
Baby, I'm not lookin' for trouble
'Cause I can't keep on holding on to you
Just because you want me to
And I can't keep on holding on to you
I don't what I'm supposed to do
Without you
Dancin' in a fire when I see you after midnight
My blood, baby, my bones
Hold me underwater when you know that I'm tryin' to
Come back up for air
('Cause I can't keep on holdin')
('Cause I can't keep on holdin')
('Cause I can't keep on holdin')
('Cause I can't keep on holdin')
'Cause I can't keep on holding on to you
Just because you want me to
And I can't keep on holding on to you
I don't what I'm supposed to do
Without you

Definitely "poppy." More Floydian sound effects would have helped.

Check out Scott Jacobs too (also from Vancouver). Similar style - both very good and deserve more success!

You might be thinking of Kono or Danno. Kato was Bruce Lee's character in "The Green Hornet".
Kato? Wasn't he on Hawaii 5-0?

Those are definitely not the right lyrics, but I'm having difficulty finding the right ones. The one site that seemed to have the info claims it doesn't have the license to show it - IDK, doesn't make sense to me.
Reminds me a little of Duncan Sheik in his early days or maybe David Gray. Not bad!
This one made me look. Thanks, Bill. I love how you find these obscure musicians, known to and appreciated by the people around them, and so give them a springboard into the greater audiorati. (Is that a word? If not, it should be.)
