Alright
Here we go again
Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
I'll give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my love to you
There's so much that we need to share
So send a smile and show you care
Alright, alright
I'll give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my life for you
So give a little bit
Oh, give a little bit of your time to me
See the man with the lonely eyes
Oh, take his hand, you'll be surprised
Oh, take it
Come along
Come on
Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
I give a little bit
I give a little bit of my life for you
Now's the time that we need to share
So, find yourself, we're on our way back home
Going home
Don't you need, don't you need to feel at home?
Oh, yeah, we gotta see
You gotta get a feeling
You come along too
You can come along too, yeah
Come a—, come a—, come a—, come along
Cha, cha, cha
Ooh, yeah, come along too
Yeah, come along too, yeah
Sing Betty Lou
Come along too
What a long ride
Come a long way
Ooh, sing it tonight
Here we go again
Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
I'll give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my love to you
There's so much that we need to share
So send a smile and show you care
Alright, alright

Helliwell sax great on all of these Supertramp recordings. Instinctive and polished. Thanks for the play!
Great use of the Saxophone on this song. The electric piano, sax and Hodgson's voice are the Supertramp sound and I love it.
One of those songs that was great the first 100 times you heard it. Slowly it starts to wane. There are SOOOO many other Supertramp songs that I wish were played more on RP!

Seven years late, now a 7.7. Just about matches the 8 I gave it.
Holding 7.7 in 2024!

I love this song, but I don't think it's in the right mix. It's not mellow to me.
The Three Gees (School kids, very well produced) did a great cover of this. Then Roger Hoghson invited them onstage during a show to do it with him. Its on Youtube. Don't know what became of the kids, guess they went to school...?
Supergreat

When I was very young I always thought this was Peter Frampton for some reason.

Check out Paris - their live album. Every song a classic.

"School" on Crime of the Century is just fantastic.
man, that sax solo...so sweet and smooth.

That's quite common. But you'll then also often see it turns into a bell curve like this one in the end ;)
Interesting. I was one of the frist 7 votes and each of the votes was a different rating. Is this song really that polarizing?

Right up there with CAMEL as one of the best of the PROG ROCK ERA
Great! Overplayed on the radio when it came out! Much better NOW in FLAC w/ great studio phones, amp & DAC! Thanx RP!

They didn't seem "overlooked" from where I was either - it seemed like they were constantly played on the radio from the mid-1970s to the early '80s.

I always thought this song didn't "belong" on this album. Much like "Money" on DSOTM, it stands out as an obvious hit single that doesn't mesh with the style of the other songs on the record.

Everybody in my homeless camp loves this marvelous classic song... it's actually from a pretty dang sweet album... I think I have this original vinyl somewhere...
You probably have it at home.

"The lead singer"? They have two lead singers and they split the vocals depending on which one wrote the song. This one is Roger Hodgson, the other is Rick Davies.
To hear Rick, listen to "Bloody Well Right".
Nice to see the song nudging upwards, now a 7. Hopefully my 9 helped.

Always just like finger nails on a blackboard. A very unfortunate flashback to the late ’70’s….

Hard to say whether this or Crime was their pinnacle. Probably not Breakfast.
Crisis What Crisis also has some great tracks...ah the 70s

A very talented, and largely overlooked, band. Worth checking all their songs.

Great memories of High Life in High School! Sure love the cover photo, too — Indian Peaks, Colorado in the background! from behind the old Caribou Studio...
Coming out of the haze of the 70's is Supertramp!!!
A guilty pleasure from the 70s. Sounds pretty good!
Good song, not their best though.
Meh.
"Sing Betty Louuuuuuuu"
Is that what he sings?

Supertramp always kinda gave me the willies because I could never really tell if the lead singer was a man or woman by the voice over the radio.

This song is so good for my Budweiser drinking, capitalist loving ears!
Supertramp at their mawkish worst.
Summer of 77, driving around in my Chevy Van....

Aw, man! I was hoping for the Goo-Goo Dolls version. (just kidding)
