People think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time (and)
All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy
Think I'll lose my mind if I don't find something...
Can you help me occupy my brain (x2)
I need someone to show me the things in life that I cant find
I cant see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind ('n so)
Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel and love to me is so unreal
Can you help me occupy my brain (x4)
And as you hear these words I'm telling you now of my state
I tell you to enjoy your life I wish I could but its too late so
Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel and love to me is so unreal
Maybe because it isn't an Oz tune as Satisfaction isn't a Mick Jagger song?
Who is "we"?
Agreed. Ninety-five percent of Oregonians agree that insipid talents should occupy their brains (and mouths) in isolation.
You really speak for 95% of the people in your state? What a terrifying state of affairs.
That's what makes RP great and what makes the discussion boards a major part of the enjoyment we get from the site — putting aside the great music mix, of course (and excuse the royal we, but I think I'm speaking to the converted).

Not me!
No kidding!!!
A heavyweight drain bemage might be up ahead.

Some songs are all about the performance of the band and producer (the style) rather than the inherent refinement of the music and lyric (the content), and Paranoid, it is revealed by this rendition, falls rather under par with regard to its content.
This is no more than a gimmick, it adds nothing, in my view, to my appreciation of the song (compared with, say, Katie Melua's version of Just Like Heaven, or even Lily Allen's Naive), and fails to tickle my fancy in any way towards the band. I betcha, though, that Black Sabbath could have done a cracking job on Rebecca Black's Friday Night. Wow, I'd pay to hear that!
Yeah, this doesn't have staying power...a little too slow and dirge-y the 3rd-4th time around. Although it's interesting to hear this version. Was never a fan of the original or Ozzy's madman schtick.
No, it's actually a song written by the members of Black Sabbath in 1970 - long before Facebook's founder was even born. Interesting version.
But then, I don'no art; only know what I like...
YES!

Face it: If this song were the "original", you'd gag on it, but it gets extra consideration because it's a unique treatment of an original.
I'd say fortunately. Take away the driving heavy rock of the Sabbath original and you do have some pretty basic lyrics. I really like this cover, and IMO it's a major improvement on the clichéd original. 8 from the Nottingham jury.
You'd have to ask Ozzy Osborne and Geezer Butler about that. You may need an interpreter to communicate with Ozzy. Not a bad version...once in a while.
I'm from Germany and Radio Paradise is bombastic
Funny,
We were just saying the same thing about Germany
I'm from Germany and Radio Paradise is bombastic
Where's the original when you really want to hear it - will have to go back to the shelves of CD's!

I, for one, never heard of the original but liked this immediately. I went back to hear the original and found it "interesting"—and enlightening of why I never heard of it! (I really like that Hellsongs put this out.)
I had no idea this was not an original version........its my life sung over and over

I have had the opposite reaction.
10+
yes...took me a while to realise that it was a cover....I still prefer the original, but completely different listening moods.
I burned this whole CD and listened to it the other day - very impressive! Especially this song, "Blackened," "Symphony of Destruction," and "Seasons in the Abyss". Just like this cut, really makes you focus on the meaning of the lyrics.
(Tori A tried and failed miserably with a similar take on Smells Like Teen Spirit.)
I loved that Tori cover... wasn't Trent Reznor singing in the background? Doesn't really matter, it was great.
This, on the other hand is good, but not great. Solid 6.
Mildly on topic, but have you heard the Ahmet & Dweezil Zappa cover of "Baby, One More Time"? Never thought I'd enjoy - let alone adore - even a covered version of that song...
On topic...wow, that's a download.

Part A: So true!
Part B: I beg to differ...

i found myself singing the lyrics before i could even place the song.
Oh, he does. The Psychic Playlist.
best cover version I've ever heard!!! I love this so much!!!!!!!!!!
And why is a song about love, happiness and contentment on a collection of "Hellsongs"?
To each her own I guess. This is good but nothing close to the Sabbath version.
Now, to complete the circle, Black Sabbath needs to do a cover of the Jonas Brothers.
Like this, BTW. Like it a lot.

The album cover -
Can a boy band really have a "classic" song, considering that most "classic rock" was written more than 10 years before the Jonas Brothers were born?
The Jonas Brothers have a song named "Paranoid" but it is not the same as the Black Sabbath song of the same name. This song by Hellsongs covers the Black Sabbath version (thank, um, goodness).
I not familiar with that, but this is good.
In case you're wondering, yes, they do War Pigs as well.
