Weep for yourself, my man,
You'll never be what is in your heart
Weep little lion man,
You're not as brave as you were at the start

Rate yourself and rake yourself,
Take all the courage you have left
Waste it on fixing all the problems
That you made in your own head

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I my dear?
Didn't I my...

Tremble for yourself, my man,
You know that you have seen this all before
Tremble little lion man,
You'll never settle any of your scores

Your grace is wasted in your face,
Your boldness stands alone among the wreck
Now learn from your mother or else
Spend your days biting your own neck

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I my dear?

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I my dear?
Didn't I my dear?

Ahhhhh...
Ahhhhh...
Haahhhhh...
Haahhhhh...

Haahhhhh...
Haahhhhh...

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I my dear?

But it was not your fault but mine
And it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I my dear?
Didn't I my dear?

Someone said that they released 5 or so albums with just one song. That nails it.

Being from Australia where this was song of the year on Triple J hot 100, we dont have to worry about this prudish censorship stuff.

Yeah, this country is really odd.  On one hand we have censorship to ludicrousness and on the other we have a booming porn industry.

A huge drug problem, prison overpopulation, and high violent crime, yet an abundance of strictly religious groups who barely believe in fire.

This country regularly makes me scratch my head in confusion and I've been here all my life.
Okay, I'll admit it... I guffawed at the final censoring when they're doing the acapella bit and they used the knocked sample with the full band behind it.  That's the funniest and silliest censoring I think I've ever heard!  Although that previous version was pretty bad, too.  I guess you just can't win with this one.

I couldn't care less about the censorship, it's not like 50% of the lyrics have been changed you know...

And for the people who appreciate the censorship because of the kids listening, i can understand. However, you know they'll be exposed to foul language one way or the other (except for the Amish people, but they're not on these boards anyway), so does it really matter?

I heard this song on a San Francisco station (KFOG-FM) today and they said "messed it up." Erg. Sometimes the profanity is better, and this is one of those times.

Agreed.  Its not even a good job of censorship as it occurs before the actual word.  Just is an annoyance.

Censored version?!? {#Grumpy}

Shut-Up- Yourself!
I want give 8 point, but censored version deserves 1.

I despise censorship, but let's not jump to conclusions. . .
yup, my thought too.

I never thought RP would censor music.
Weird.
Personally, I can't imagine RP fans objecting to a little effing and jeffing (particularly in this context).

Agreed.  Its not even a good job of censorship as it occurs before the actual word.  Just is an annoyance.
The censoring kills the song.  I love the song, but I had to change it before heard another smudge version of the word "fuck."  Comes off similar to a cd skipping...
I like this version.  I like that "Fffff....pt" special effect they have through the whole song...

I appreciate the fact that I can play Radio Paradise without my kids being exposed to expletives.  I'm also happy for the people who can play Radio Paradise in public settings.  If you are that against censorship, then support the artist by buying the song.
Complete waste of time playing the censored version. The distorted/fast-forward sound used to block out the f-word is hugely distracting and annoying.
A lot of talk of censorship of parts of this song. I think it's a horrible action.
But what i find an even worse offense is that this song or anything by M&S isn't completely censored from the 'airwaves".

also...FUCK censorship.  this is some bullshit.

The radio version says "messed it up".  Don't really care which gets played here, but I HATE the hamfisted editing on this one.

Check the song comments, there is an RPeep who will send it to you. For the price of a donation to RP.

Went to the concert here in S.B. a couple of days ago. By far one of the best I have seen in a long time. Very talented, original and enthusiastic.

I had to change my rating from a 9 to a 2.

What?? You censored it? You have got to be fucking kidding. I'm very disappointed Bill & Rebecca. This is RP, not Westwood  One or some other corporate radio station.

Fucking censorship. FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK.

BEST CONCERT OF THE YEAR!!!
Luckily for me I have been reminded here many times that the f-bombs are integral to the song and the effect has been ruined. The words I don't hear a hundred times a day on every reality show and in every venue would have been so impressive if I'd have known they were supposed to be there. They certainly emphasize some heavy lyrics: "your grace is wasted in your face", "spend your days biting your own neck". Yep, those two missing "f**ked" really crippled this one.

I realize that a radio station can't be all things to all people. And even though I don't enjoy every single song played, I feel that RP is my station because I share the HONEST enjoyment of all music. RP is not simply regurgitating a commercial success, the latest fad, or what caters to a narrow audience determined by some focus group. But censorship is not honest. As I posted under another song title, please play the song as the artist presented it or don't play it. Please.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THE CENSORSHIP OF SONGS ON RP LATELY?

Bill/Becca? Did you guys get some kind of moral majority sponsor?

Please, stop. I love this song. Especially the way it was recorded.

Thank you.

Your loyal listener,
devil.boy
Fuck censorship. Fuck Censorship. Fuck Censorship. Fuck Censorship.
Hey guys, did you notice the word "fuck" is censored in the song?

/snark
Others have inquired or are curious, in their way:  please, B&R, can you tell us why the song has been edited?  This is important to me (and I suspect, others).  Yours is an oasis, where we can enjoy the occasional fuck or shit.

Thanks so much for protecting me from hearing the word FUCKED. Who ever put all the effort in taking this word out of this song, should be awarded the Nobel price for World Peace.

I would like to suggest him or her to also change "I shot the sheriff" into something like "I love the sheriff".

This song is a 9 in the original version, but a sad old 3 in the censored version. Ugh.

Yes - VERY uncool.
this band brings no news to me. sorry to all who like it. seems to me the band are immortals and they keep playing centuries the same old song. mind the spiderweb trail form head to guitar neck, blowing in the wind coming through broken window.
Well It's just not my taste, but it is here to hear too often.

Did it ever occur to anyone that the censored version might have been the only version uploaded?

{#Meditate}

Censorship is not cool!
Please censor this whole fucking band for awhile. So sick of hearing them 10 times a day.

I really like this song and band.  Not crazy about the editing, I get it, but I think most of us can handle a F bomb if the song is that good!
Really?  A censored song on Radio Paradise?  What in the FUCK is the world coming to?  All you sensitive pansies need to get a backbone!  Ruined a very good song.  -1 for this version, a 8 or 9 for the actual version.

good question.
WTFUCK!! R.P. no............

someone really fucked up this song, this time, my dear.

Why is this line —

"I really fucked it up this time, didn't I dear?"

Getting the "fucked" edited out in a really distracting and annoying fashion?

Especially since that Metric song, "Satellite Mind" keeps that word intact - what the hell?  And the usage in "Satellite Mind" is more gratuitous than it is here.  In this song, the F-word has a lot more power - and it gets cut. {#Arghhh}
Another disappointed note about the poor profanity obfuscation.
I do not like the censorship!

Followed by an unedited "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" which saved RP for me at least.  (I was "touching that dial."  I'm not kidding.)

the recording is all fucked up??

FM 94.9 in San Diego just showcased them at the Belly Up and had them on the air doing a mini coup de tat this past Sunday (June 6)
