Perfection

edit - was immediately followed by Werewolves of London - two pieces of perfection juxtaposed.

Isa Lei - Fijian Farewell song
EXCELLENT!  This is the 1st time that I have heard it. That is why we come here. Thanx RP!
So lovely it's keeping me from getting to a meeting!
Its surely "Across the Borderlines" re-arranged but still very good.

It was, this one.
Instant 10 if you have seen the movie "Dead Man Walking", which ends with this song .  Puts it all in context.  Major chills every time.
Instant 8

Lol.

Gentle and nice, worth a 9 but A Meeting by the River is far better
Well, the music is nice; now if we could just change that font on the album cover.
Good tune (been a Cooder fan for years) but it does meander just a tad,
This is outstanding therefore I gave it a 9.{#Clap}
Just simply beautiful.

If you like the Mohan Vina sound, check out Harry Manx. Nice blend of blues and classical Indian ragas, etc.

Fun, yes - but without hard work, perseverance and passion we would never have the treasures this man has gifted us with. Hope he has great commercial rewards as a byproduct, because he sure has brought some wonders to light.

Totally!
I keep waiting for the bells to chime in.
This is sweet.

It needs to be followed up by Mike Montiel and After the Gun Fight.

Lovely!
So trippy! You wouldn't think this would work. But it works very well indeed.
Very nice. Almost perfect mellow combination.
Was just going to turn on TV and watch the Cleveland Show, but, wait.... no, today I put it in a row....!

Wow...many thanks for that. It´s gonna be a long night, but this just carried me.
this is pleasant...making me smile{#Smile}

The two songs you refer to are by Eddie Vedder and the late great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Ry Cooder played on both tracks, but V.M Bhatt did not. Cooder is on a coulpe other tracks on that soundtrack, most notably "In Your Mind" by Johnny Cash.

Sublime. 10 all the way.
Nice and relaxing tune.

This helps lighten my day as it a damp rainy one here in STL.
great stuff Bill.  thx for once again turning me on to something new.

BTW, went and saw TV on the Radio last night - great stuff your audience would like.
makes you wonder after all these years.....how much fun has Ry Cooder's life been?

more then mine I'm willing to bet....what a talent!
Very soothing.
Very nice Bill.  More success of East meets West.
Ry - truly a Renassance man for the music of our time
Wow this chilled me right out. 10 all day.

If I was meditating right now, instead of working, this would be awesome. But I can't listen at home(

The fanciest and kindest reply ever. Thanks for making me LOL in the middle of a tedious homework! Nice gathering, maybe a lil' too much of Ry in the mix, as usual with him, as he apparently cannot refrain for taking the lead. Buena Vista Social Club - esp. the film - suffered IMHO from the same imbalance.
Not sure I like this - Ry Cooder always knows how to push the boundaries, may have pushed too far with this. I still love the sound of that guitar though!

This is a great disc. Thanks RP and best wishes riding the storm out!

If I remember correctly, Vishnu Bhatt is actually Harry Manx's guru.
"This is the end...my only friend, the end." Beautiful tune...most excellent.

Yes, it is great! Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, genius with beauty. There aren't that many musicians who design an instrument and play it beautifuly..Mohan Veena..Harry Manx knows that

Tedious and irritating - sorry. A mismatch of musical styles, IMO.

I disagree completely.
Ry Cooder has always been all about music, he is the 'real deal'.
OK Cooder fans, fingers crossed. I've got 3 tracks (From; Into the Purple Valley, Paradise & lunch & The slide area)awaiting judgement as to whether they enter the LRC. We know the answer already of course!!
Seems every time I hear some real mesmerizing music and go to see who it is, it's Ry Cooder, or Ry Cooder with someone. Hmm where's my Amazon bookmark? Oh man, and now Bill's playing Future Games! It all goes so well with this rainy Friday. Thanks RP!
Wow this is a nice change from the norm... Very relaxing and spiratual :)
