What sweet music.  You can hear the musicians speaking to each other the whole way through.  It seems very unrehearsed and so nice for that reason.

I Agree completely!  Thanx RP!
So smooth ...
I love this album. Thanks for playing.

Had the limousine version of this '59, sweet ride payed  100 bucks for it.

Wouldn't mind watching the sunset, alone on a beach, smoking a Cohiba and listening to this
Ry Cooder ranks as one of the ** Truly Weird People.**  It's very cool to see where he has gone in his musical journey.
This somehow pulls me, by the top of the head, in. Love it!

Please: more of this excellent kind of music than Radiohead quaver-angst...

So rude, dude. You know, I usually just ignore your cursive negativity. Though, I do admit you do come up with a gem every once in a while,
I'm drawing the line here. Your vulgarity is offensive. Enough with the caca mouth, already!{#Moon}

It's just two legendary guitarists having a blast playing together and messin' with some Cuban melody. I've owned this album for years now,
and l love how their joy and bravado comes through in their playing. This is, however, one of the more tepid tunes on the album, IMO.
Interesting and thoroughly enjoyable....

We be chillin'....Totally!!
I agree with many - the whole album is very nice
This whole album is a treasure. Get it without hesitation
Good! Traditional in a modern and not banal way      {#Biggrin}
Is it Calyspo Night at Toots Shor?
Nice caddy fins ! Relaxed tune too

Sounds like a really chill afternoon, oceanside, frosty drink in hand...

Mac your bags and get out of here!

To me it seems that lately there has been much comment and some disorganized momentary insanity .....surely that's RP! and at its best!

A groovy version of the son cubano that first spoke of salsa in musical terms.

If you read the fine print you'd discover Hulu excludes non-Americans for copywrite reasons.
Just another instance of 'Digital Rights Management' like the 'region' restrictions on DVDs.
In a world ruled by greedheads - so it goes.

Really pretty great in a low-key sort of way, is the whole album like this?
Curious me!

I'm singing Guantanamara

COODER?? I hardly know her!

The subtly sublime is simply wasted on some folks.

Actually, it's an infomercial on how to tell the difference between an organ and a guitar.

Fourth floor, please.

Not to mention Raul (Dana Carvey) and Jorge (Patrick Swayze) and their SNL Latin American singer's rivalry... "Two tons of fan mail That's what I get, I get two tons of fan mail Two tons of fan mail I get two tons of fan mail." ... I think you're hearing the Cuban tune "Guantanamera" in there, not the Jaliscan tune "La Bamba", which is traditional wedding dance in Mexico. But since they're both 3-chord tunes, well, there's going to be similarities, especially in a musical quotation.
Correct: I thought it was Guantanemera. I just returned from Holguin in eastern Cuba (yes, I am not an American), where this song is a mainstay of every travelling street band.
I post the same thing from every track played on this album: one of my favorite albums ever
That's a very good one, too...

I thought this was Marc Ribot. It's great. Bailar!

I love this album. It's never far from the CD player at home. Perfect any time of day, from bopping around doing housework to a great soundtrack for dinner with friends.

Awsome album To be honest, the first time I heard it I though it was not well finished but listening to it a few more times, you realized what the concept is...I like the rendition of Patricia from the late Perez Prado
I received this CD as a gift, and like you, I found it a bit "rough". The more I have listened, the more I have enjoyed. Also agree that it was nice to hear Patricia, after all these years!
Hey! I was literally going to upload this song as soon as the uploads are reopened -- but of course I would have found out that RP already has it, by using the search... Great song! Neil
