A month of nights, a year of days
Octobers drifting into Mays
I set my sail when the tide comes in
I just cast my fate to the wind

I shift my course along the breeze
Won't sail upwind on memories
The empty sky is my best friend
I just cast my fate to the wind

A month of nights, a year of days
Octobers drifting into Mays
I set my sail when the tide comes in
I just cast my fate to the wind

21 years between comments. This is a nice cover, starting  at 7... could be 8. Thanks for bringing this back.

Glad to hear it. This doesn't swing. Maybe Benoit has been conditioned by drum machines over the years.
Sounds like bad elevator music

Nice interpretation!

So the Guaraldi original would be, what, a 5? I would give the Guaraldi original a 9, but I give this an 8. It's about as much of a recreation of the original than a reinterpretation. But who cares? It's good stuff. BTW, the playlist is lookin' a little New-Age-ish today, what with Enya, Benoit...
George Winston has a _much_ better version - but whomever plays this, ultimately, you need to live in colder climes than San Diego to really enjoy this! Bbrrrr
Boo. Nothing against Benoit, but the original was so much better than this, it\'s all I can do to keep from giving it a 1.
I am a accoustic piano lover and like this one. Thanks again RP.
Have heard a little David Benoit, but this is great.
I love this song, but \"Ben-Wa\" doesn\'t come close to Guaraldi
Bill, this is excellent and this kind of music is most welcome in my book. It really compliments the rest of the RP lineup. George Winston has a wonderful CD full of Charlie Brown music as a tribute to Vince Guaraldi that is worth a listen. Thanks!
A great cover of the Vince Guaraldi classic.
