Each step I take is in darkness
Since we've been apart
No flowers bloom on my pathway
There's no joy inside my heart
I'm going down, way down
Where no love is found, I'm going down
A rocky road, rocky road
Stream has dried up in the meadow
The grass is parched and brown
Green fields we used to walk through
Are just stones upon the ground
I'm going down, way down
Where no love is found, I'm going down
A rocky road, rocky road
Ah, I'm going down
I'm going down, way down
Where no love is found, I'm going down
A rocky road, rocky road
I'm going down
I'm going down
Since we've been apart
No flowers bloom on my pathway

I'm going down

Yes, both songs are basically using 3-2 Clave patterns as did "Hey Bo Diddley", "Willie & The Hand Jive", and many other tunes. It's from an Afro-Cuban rhythm style that's over 100 years-old.
Not fade away.....

I gave it a 4 initially, but it keeps dragging on and on, and now there's an a capella section at the end. Dropped it to a 2.

Heh - the ol' David Lindley trick of sneaking scales into a solo. Excellent!

Where'd that Power solo come from?
Dang, this is good stuff.
Draws you in real slowly, then BAM — off into electro-hillbilly... kinda cool.

i like the sound of it—may be meandering too much for me (what too much meandering?) never.
At least it's meandering down a rocky road! Think of it as an exercise in building charachter.
It reminds me of a song from O brother where art thou, I'll fly away maybe? i think it's a traditional

Wow, that was nice!
