I wanna hold the hand inside you
I wanna take the breath that's true
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you to see the truth
You live your life, you go in shadows
You'll come apart and you'll go blind
Some kind of night into your darkness
Colors your eyes with what's not there
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
A stranger light comes on slowly
A stranger's heart without a home
You put your hands into your head
And then its smiles cover your heart
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
I wanna take the breath that's true
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you to see the truth
You live your life, you go in shadows
You'll come apart and you'll go blind
Some kind of night into your darkness
Colors your eyes with what's not there
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
A stranger light comes on slowly
A stranger's heart without a home
You put your hands into your head
And then its smiles cover your heart
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew

My thoughts exactly. It's better than AI slop, but that's about all I'd give it.
Another cover that brings nothing to the original - which is perfect anyway. So it's a 2.

I like everything I've heard from this artist except this.

So I end up hearing this track completely by accident.
What happens? I listen. I pay attention to the song and let it hit me.
And honestly, is my first thought ever: “Is this a cover? And is it maybe way worse than the original?”
Or do I just listen to the music itself and form an opinion without worrying about whether it’s a cover?
For me, it’s definitely always the second one.
And I’ve gotta say, this one is actually really good. It has depth, intention, something that pulls me in.
Because of that, it gets my attention — and my respect. Solid 7 out of 10.
