Why did he quit right after the Richmond gig? Guns and Roses was just about to release their version of James' "New Rose". The Captain made an odd introduction of the song on stage that pissed Brian off BAD!

The next show I caught was in Orlando and I was surprised that Brian was no longer there. So Rat and I hung out and smoked.

The next gig was in St. Pete, my hometown, at the Jannus Landing. I was their driver again (like I was in DC and NYC) and they asked me to drive them to a pawn shop because they wanted to just see how easy it is to buy firearms in the USA. Of course, Rat and I were smoking in St. Pete, too.

I met the band the next morning at their hotel to send them off for a flight to Miami. As Rat shook my hand leaving, he placed the rest of his cannabis in my palm.
