Video - Too Much Time On My Hands
"Phantom Of the Paradise" -- one of the greatest movies of all time.
Too bad the music was not inspired from the movie's soundtrack...
I had to PSD this !
Harmless, saccharine midwestern rock 'n roll and a nice stroll down memory lane. Cool album cover!
this is such a banger, how is it a 6.6?!

Hated this when it came out, still hate it. It was everything that was wrong with corporate rock. Crap like this is why punk was necessary.
Hold on! Were you that cool in 1981 or are you projecting your current cool self on the maybe not-so-cool 1981 version of you?
17-year-olds.
Yikes!
I once saw this on American Bandstand and people were dancing to it.
I almost puked. And I quit listening to this band.
That's the most pearl-clutching thing I've ever read.
(except maybe Mr. Roboto, because that song still slaps in the silliest possible way)

If ya gotta play something from Styx, try songs from their first 2 or 3 albums. The ones recorded on the Wooden Nickel label.
Try the song Suite Madame Blue.
Thanks, RP. I know why.
Styx were lyrically slightly differentiated from the other, overplayed 80’s pseudo-rock bands (Boston, Journey) and thereby have a bit more longevity. This is fun for the occasional listen.
I still have the LPs…
I said *occasional* listen.
That’s twice in two weeks now...

Show us on this doll where STYX band hurt you!........
lol
This kind of says it all.

Exactly. Same problem with another recent RP spin: Foreigner.
Gag, double gag! Foreigner was the first concert I went to in my own as a high school student, and it was so awful that I immediately quit listening to Foreigner.

Correct.
Edit: although by 1981 they'd gotten the message loud and clear and doubled down. Deodoodydato, Mister Roboto. Rasputin's in Berkeley had a big stack of that album by the front door with a sign "just take one and get out" and by the end of the day some of them were gone.
Yes, Styx!!!
Styx, No!!!
