Yeah, I'm sittin' on this barstool
Talkin' like a damn fool
Got the twelve o'clock news blues
And I've given up hope
On the afternoon soaps
And a bottle of cold brew
Is it any wonder I'm not crazy
Is it any wonder I'm sane at all
Well, I'm so tired of losin'
I got nothin' to do
With all day to do it
Well, I'd go out cruisin'
But I've no place to go
And all night to get there
Is it any wonder I'm not a criminal
Is it any wonder I'm not in jail
Is it any wonder I've got too much time on my hands
It's tickin' away with my sanity
I've got too much time on my hands
It's hard to believe such a calamity
I've got too much time on my hands
And it's tickin' away
Tickin' away from me
(Too much time on my hands)
It's t-t-t-t-t-tickin' away
(Too much time on my hands)
Now I don't know what to do
(Too much time on my hands)
(Too much time on my hands)
(Too much time on my hands)
(Too much time on my hands)
Now I'm a jet fuel genius
I can solve the world's problems
Without even trying
I've got dozens of friends
And the fun never ends
That is, as long as I'm buying
Is it any wonder I'm not the President
Is it any wonder I'm null and void
Is it any wonder I've got too much time on my hands
It's tickin' away with my sanity
I've got too much time on my hands
It's hard to believe such a calamity
I've got too much time on my hands
And it's tickin' away
Tickin' away from me
(Too much time on my hands)
T-t-t-t-t-t-t-tickin' away
(Too much time on my hands)
And I don't know what to do with myself
(Too much time on my hands)
Mmm
(Too much time on my hands)
T-t-t-t-tickin' away
(Too much time on my hands)
Mmm

I listened to this band incessantly during high school. Still do on occasion. Nice to hear it here.

Correct.
Edit: although by 1981 they'd gotten the message loud and clear and doubled down. Deodoodydato, Mister Roboto. Rasputin's in Berkeley had a big stack of that album by the front door with a sign "just take one and get out" and by the end of the day some of them were gone.
Hated this when it came out, still hate it. It was everything that was wrong with corporate rock. Crap like this is why punk was necessary.

Yes, Styx!!!
Styx, No!!!
This takes me way back. I got this album at the Calgary Stampede (I do not remember why or how). Not my favourite Styx tune, but undeniably catchy.
I've never been a big Styx fan, but this is perfect for a bit of fun!
If we are going to go here, I would much prefer a track or two from Grand Illusion (title track for example), or possibly Cornerstone. And, not sure I need it at all. ;)
Yes, Styx!!!
