What a cool song! Upon an attentive third listening, I find this work of art full of wild and lyrical imagery; all weird, dark, and disturbed in a delightfully startling Jim Morrison-istic way... To me, the music is sparse, fuzzy, intense, and reminiscent of BRMC's jammer, "Berlin"...

I like Father John Misty and love RP incorporating new music but the "Fuck" in this song is so loud and clear, it definitely raised some parents eyebrows upon hearing in my orthodontic office.

I recommend the book by Michel Faber - in fact I recommend all his books.  My favourite book of all time is his masterpiece The Book of Strange New Things.
