Goose bumps from that guitar.
I received my CD of this album the other day and have listened to it a few times. On the one hand, it's nicely made, with some good playing (not least his daughter Romany) and there are echoes (sorry!) of Pink Floyd here and there. But it's not a Pink Floyd record - it's a David Gilmour record. My personal take on it is that Polly Sampson isn't a particularly inspiring lyricist - at least her words don't move me in the way that David's have on previous records.
On this song, I find the piano break a bit clunky (I'm a pianist and I know whereof I speak) but on the whole it's a good cut.

My favorite guitarist, and one of my favorite voices, but I've never been able to connect with any of his solo work. I even find his Pink Floyd work without Roger pretty meh. There was something very special, albeit intangible, when David & Roger worked together.
This is a very good album, best I've heard in a while.
I love Gilmour's solo! Gives me goosebumps.

Saw Pink Floyd a couple of times back in the day and Gilmour was, and is, a genius.
