"Well I'll be damned"
Anyways, Banger. Easy 9

Hey, say what you will but she's the success of her generation. She's been racking 'em up hasn't she? So all us old farts can go pound some salt. That's probably how she'd express it if she even bothered. That's if you bother to complain, which I don't.
Each generation pursues their life, their art, their muse, as they see fit. Just like mine, ours if there are other old farts here, did. I won't harrumph. I can't, won't, be critical since it harms nobody, and certainly seems a lot of fun for what it is. Music set to her generations beat. They're just doing it their way. Wait....somewhere....I think there's a song in that one? Heh!
Highlow~
Well said. Personally, I’m a fan of Ms Eilish.
Just my opinion.
Calling her a musician is a crime to actual musicians. This is just laptop shite with beats. That's it. Lyrics are meaningless mumble reverb. Compare her to any random Joni Mitchell ditty.
Comments like this have been made about great musicians for hundreds of years. Have a read about how some of the greatest ever classical composers were first received and it'll make you think twice about how you respond to music. You may not like something/understand it/get it straight away - but the chances are your ears and taste are just taking time to catch up. For the rest of us, your comments are just an illuminating window on your personality.
Garbage is garbage . Just because it is popular doesn’t add any merit . It sucks
Well if we are just going to throw around mean words with no logic or intelligence behind them then I would just like to say that you, good sir, suck. Popularity may not add merit to a song necessarily, but it depends on who it is popular with. If a song is popular among musicians then the chances are that it is not just catchy but also well written. Using a colloquialism like "garbage is garbage" as your main argument is why you did poorly in English class.

This is so wrong it's almost funny. There's no such thing as "garbage" - there's just music you like, or music you respond to, and music you don't like or don't respond to.

And for those of you questioning their musicality: check out that documentary The World's a Little Blury --- yes a laptop is used, but their musical background/education/experience, imagination and perfectionism are right up there with all other "real" musicians, make no mistake about that

I respectfully disagree. I studied classical piano as a child, and was a professional pianist and keyboard player through my 20s. I'm now studing composition for a masters, and I do almost all of my writing and recording on a laptop (well, it's actually a desktop but that's not really the point). While I find her delivery a bit indistinct, in purely musical terms this is no better nor worse than any number of songs from the era when Joni Mitchell was in her pomp. Comparing any songwriter to JM is always going to be a losing strategy, since (for my money) she's the Greatest Of All Time.
Thanks for keeping me hip!

Each generation live their times and the actual times are... pretty bad.
Billie is far not the worse but look at the famous artist on earth, Taylor Swift...
I recently listened to her 10 best songs, one, shake it up, was great but the rest is only girly crap i can't understand as art but as a mainfestation of those times.
